Unbelievable that it always seems to be them that fuck us over when we are so close.
Not going to go through the points again as they've already been mentioned in here.

Wish Abramovich would fuck off and leave them in the shit to be honest.
Getting shot or poisoned would do ?

You missed diddley in front of squat.. from a fan point of view that remark looks like we've suddenly become real Madrid and we're too aloof to want to win a minor trophy before we've even gone past go?

Think you’ve misunderstood my post...I was agreeing with you.

Anyone know or hear why Rose didn’t start tonight?
I think maybe he's not one of Poch's favourite people and he does have his favourites especially if you speak your mind. I think Rose is one of our best players and creates a lot of chances for the forwards with his runs and crosses. I think he should have started.

One thing that puzzled me was the way the Hazard goal occurred... It was a gift from the moment we gave away the FK which was taken quickly but ..

What particularly stood out to me watching the replay was seeing Giroud in an offside position in or on the six yard box -he traversed the box from the left to the right across the goalkeeper's line of sight as the ball was dinked by Hazard. I immediately thought than technically he was interfering with play but it happened very quickly and as far as I know nothing was mentioned ? Did anyone else see this or am I hallucinating again ? #drinkfreeme

With a depleted team and the Chavs having to beat us on pens, is not bad at all. We made them sweat. C'est La Vie. We've still a lot to look forward to. The lads showed a lot of heart tonight COYS

Agreed, however our lack of ball retention in both legs cost us dearly me thinks.

A few things

1. It’s just our luck that away goal rule does not count anymore

2. Why can’t we do what say burnley did to us at Wembley (I know we won 1-0 very late on) but sit back and frustrate the opposition. With better defensive players than smaller teams we should be able to play for a 0-0.

3. Hazard always ups his game against us / we have never been able to manage top players in big games

4. I feel like the losing mentality in semi finals and finals runs through the core of the club and is a stain that won’t leave

5. Despite some of the above a carabo cup win will not make or break our season

6. It’s no surprise money/oil clubs like Chelsea can constantly make these finals year on year . Man city have bundles of players and Chelsea have so many they have to loan out 50. It’s actually disgusting . Long gone are the days when the league cup final had matches like Bolton v boro, or even the spurs v Blackburn type finals .

7. We need to somehow win a big trophy , a champions league would count for 50 league cups in my opinion. It annoys me chelsea have won it but there success will always be tainted

8. Penalties , dier seriously one of the worst players for us in these key games . Terrible penalty and spent the game making bad fouls.

9. Aurier isn’t good enough . Lamela isn’t good enough to consistently start.

Sorry for all of the points but point 6 really bugs me , both of those teams have been able to manipulate success. Man city are cheating the game they have clubs all over the world in domestic leagues Melbourne , New York and Japan and rig the system .
Chelsea and abramovic just isn’t going to end

So if Davies is injured we take one step closer to losing the entire squad with injury this season, he was one of the two regulars left, just Toby left now.

People are beginning to cotton onto the idea that these two teams don't count. That they've cheated and they don't really matter. It's said here all the time that no one cares if chelsea or Man city win the league, because it's not real. And this attitude seems to be spreading amongst the general public (maybe because of disgruntled Man U fans, but it's still true)

I had zero interest in the Carabao cup once we got to the semi. To play three hard games against non-teams, where we're less well equipped for these high profile games yet will play under far more pressure, is just depressing.

This is probably the best outcome, to go out with a draw whilst being abnormally depleted and avoiding the distraction of a cup final where 9 times out of 10 we'd lose. It would have been fantastic to have won but in reality its so unlikely, we shouldn't feel bad about it.

10, With Kane, Dele and Son or any combination of two or even one of them the result would have been different, quite possibly the most relevant point.

And your point being?
What about Liverpool?
Show me a team that when stripped to bare bones is capable of beating a fully stocked team the likes of Chelsea. Better still, show me one that can push them to the limit.
Are we not the new pretenders to the throne, so we should be pushing them and not losing another crunch game like this one. Played like pussies in the 1st half, not for the first time.

Earlier this season City had both Aguero and De Bruyne out at the same time yet they continued being touted by the pundits as good as any in the EPL if not the best. We lose 3 out of our 4 striking force and almost become toothless. Even having Erikson in is no real advantage without the likes of Harry, Sony and Dele to take advantage of his abilities and with no real replacements in the side to create goal scoring chances for him. We punch well above our weight despite serious injuries to our key players. That cannot be said for the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea who, without the injuries we have suffered. all too often scrape results.

For me, THFC has a fantastic self-created squad - not bought in. Yes, we are still a tad short of competing with the super rich clubs as far as winning trophies go. However, when it comes to who is achieving the best with what they have at their disposal, Spurs are miles ahead of those other clubs that have sold their soul and bought success.

Unfortunate injuries may have put a spike into our aspirations of 3 or 4 weeks ago but I don't see our season falling apart - it has just become more nerve jangling. Come on! We are Tottenham supporters. After 3 decades of hopes falling short, we are well used to lady luck being sparse with her support for us and we can take it. Next season with our new stadium and, hopefully, more cash to improve the squad, the dream of being a permanent top European club will continue and thrive as it has done for the last 4 seasons despite all the setbacks.

Point 3, yesterday was hazards first goal against us in the last 8 he’s started. Does he really always step up against us or is he just a great player who we’ve actually contained quite well recently but scored yesterday?

Couldn't be more wrong, Rose and Poch are close, very close.

First three penalty takers would be Kane, Dele and Son, enough said really.

The problem with this is every single one of those players should be able to take a penalty and score. Chelsea had 2 defenders take their pens, incidentally they are probably their two most charismatic players/leaders.

We would rely on the three mentioned because of the weak mentality many of the squad have and ultimately that is why we continue to lose these type of games, of course we are unfortunate to be without the three above but even if they were fit I genuinely think away from home in this game we are massive underdogs.

We lost the tie in the first leg at home when we had a full team, played against a changed Chelsea team and only managed to score because of VAR.
