I'm in France for the week leading up to the final. I took a gamble and booked a Ryanair flight (gamble in more ways) from Marseilles to Madrid on the Saturday afternoon. Cost me £30. My missus aint happy though!

Funny thing is that the flight reference is 'Mrs > Mad' which sums it up pretty well!

I think the sponsor numbers come out of the 35k uefa family. It’s 16k to the actual fans of each club.

I don’t think they do the 16k is for the clubs allocation and I think Uefa leave it down to them how rhey distribute its reading the Liverpool allocation details it seems they got an additional 300 tickets for club players and family. I think the sponsors tickets will come out of the 16k. Surely that can’t be more than a 1000 tickets though. Not sure on the premium side of things like to think they will be in the mix with normal season ticket holders. I’m on 207 points and am nervous if I’ll get one or not.

D'you think they will have screens in city centre, or will we all be cramming into small bars ??

I’m coming from Canada, managed to book a flight and got a twin room in a hotel 30mins from Madrid. If anyone has a spare ticket... I have a spare bed in the room ?

I can top this, if anyone has a spare ticket you have my bed!

Also, you don’t know how far I’m willing to go for a ticket...??

I wonder if the Spanish police will be out in force whacking fans like they usually do?

Our sponsors like Hugo Boss and the shirt sponsors tickets come from our allocation. The Champions League sponsors allocation come from UEFA. My mate who doesn’t support any team works for one of the eight companies that sponsors the champions league. He went to the final last year and told me his company had over 1,000 tickets to the final. You may remember that hundreds of Liverpool fans missed the final and that was due to their planes landing slots being bumped. Hence my mate going out on a private jet with his company. Cost him not a penny.

My best chance is to get a ticket and to go Thomas Cook now.

None of our issues is being helped, of course, by how slow the club are being in announcing ticket details. Liverpool has done so by afternoon on Wednesday.

Unfortunately I cant now go but anybody still looking for a cheap way to Madrid can try this:-
Biirmingham to Faro (Jet2) £190 return
Car hire for 3 days £40 (rentalcars.com)
Faro - Madrid 6hr drive.

Or a 3 day package holiday in Faro is only £300 and just hire a car.
Hope it helps.

I just went on Liverpool website and don’t think it said the allocation, it just had very complicated arrangements for applying/eligibility.

It's practically a summer holiday to Spain really. Book a nice family holiday on the coast, with a day trip to the capital. Nice.

Booked Stanstead to Madrid last night at 138 quid. One way. Result.

Oh, via Turin

Eh? That's probably gonna take you just as long as driving from London isnt it?

EDIT: Just had a look out of interest, according to google driving from Turin is only like 3 hours less drive than driving from London, so by the time you've done the whole trip to the airport, checked in, had the flight, got your bags, picked up the hire car etc. etc. it will've almost certainly been quicker to juts drive from London.
