btw, if you have time, you might find an interrail pass is actually your cheapest option. If you're under 27 then its 148 pounds for 3 days of journeys or £192 as an adult.

Though you will have to pay extra for reservations, though they tend to be reasonable.

Every avenue for them has been exhausted for them.
I was looking on Sunday out of dublin and it was very reasonable, even ones with connections.
But yesterday morning it went mad, all cities with the fast rail network link to madrid are impossible now.
I think we at this moment are just thinking about london for the final. Too many liverpool fans over here to suck any joy out of getting to the final.

We are looking at buying a Benidorm package holiday from Friday to Monday - costs around 400/500 for flights and hotel, then on the Saturday, train to Madrid (3 hours).

Lads, consider flying to one of the North European hubs like Copenhagen or Stockholm and go from there.....

Tickets on stubuhub were $4000 AUD a couple of days ago I was offered one with a hotel for $5,750 AUD from a travel agent before we qualified for 3 nights. Now the price is $9,000

I just thought it was to much money to shell out as much as I’d die to go.

Am I mental ? Or are there others here that are buying for extreme prices off third party websites ?

I’m assuming our 17k allocation will be for our season ticket holders

There's about 17k tickets for the final. There's about 18k people ahead of me on points.
Small chance I might win the lotto and get one.

Flights to Madrid are insane, as the airlines take the piss.

Anyone else doing anything novel to get there?
I was looking at flights to other Spanish airports last night for half the price then a 4-5 hour drive to get to Madrid.

What are your plans? Caught up the dough or get creative?

I'm looking at a few options.
If you can hack it, you can do a coach trip from Victoria to Madrid, via Paris for £170 return.
Problem is that it's a 28 hour journey!

Next best might be fly to Barcelona and then train to Madrid. Looks like BA have flights still.
You can also get a return flight for about £450 if you're happy to be flexible e.g. Heathrow to Porto then Porto to Madrid

Related - what would be the best chance for this US based fan to get a match ticket? Please send a PM

Bribe someone at UEFA to let you be part of the "UEFA Family" (whatever the fuck that means).

Grab a £20 tent from Decathlon, drive down through France, camp in one of the many campsites around the city, bus in.

My parents live in Lanzarote, flying there for £150 then €96 flight to Madrid Saturday morning. Only issue is accommodation as that is eye watering

I'm flying to Barcelona via Munich on Friday and coming back Monday (£280 but booked last night). Then train to Madrid on Saturday returning to Barca Sunday morning (£220 booked last night).

Have 177 loyalty points so will be touch and go if I get a ticket. Puts me at about 16,000 or so on the list. Hoping people with no intention of going (say a couple of thousand or so) won't apply just to sell it on.

On the face of it, this is a great idea.
But how are you getting back to Benidorm after the match?

You can get return flights from London to Seville for £616 1st-2nd June.
Found a hotel in Madrid for £500 the night.

Have no idea if I can get a ticket.
Or how much the train from Seville to Madrid and back is.
