Really? It was an absolutely filthy tackle.
Bad tackle yes and definite red but a 3 game ban in a 38 game season is very different from a 3 game ban in european competition.

If he'd punched somebody or pushed a ref I could understand but not for an in-play bad tackle

From OS:
We met current holders Real Madrid at the quarter-final stage of our 2010-11 run in the competition, while we faced German giants Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League round of 16 in 2015-16. We have never previously faced APOEL of Nicosia, Cyprus in competitive action.

The draw took place this evening at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Exact dates, kick-off times and ticket information for all of our fixtures will be confirmed in due course, but the scheduled date ranges for all group stage matches are as follows...

Matchday one - 12/13 September
Matchday two - 26/27 September
Matchday three - 17/18 October
Matchday four - 31 October/1 November
Matchday five - 21/22 November
Matchday six - 5/6 December

Did anyone get tickets in the Home end for Real away a few years ago? I'll never get a ticket in the away end due to loyalty points, but Real Don't often sell out their home games in the group stages

link? - because UEFA does not yet have the fixtures.

Seems more likely that they ran with the pot numbers as the group numbers to determine the schedule.
I'm pretty sure at some point during the draw they explained that the schedule is all worked out on their computer which factors in fixture clashes and a few other criteria.

So why could Liverpool only have two groups, ones different to us?

Has anyone answered this. Just for clarity, Liverpool drawn before us could only draw the group they got or the group we got- not group B- Juve and Barca. We were next out the pot and could have drawn Barca and Juve? Dodgy?
Having said this... happy with the draw. Would rather play some big games!
