Yes I agree if it was a Real player it deflected off but surely not if it was a Shaktar player which is why I assumed it was a Real player.

The attacker is still offside if the ball is deflected (i.e. not deliberately played) by a defender. Here, it wouldn't matter who the ball came off of.

No clue how VAR looked at that and decided it wasn't a free out. Gundogan stepped down on the keepers leg. If you see that out of the box, it's usually a yellow card. Really strange decision, I thought.
