A message to supporters from our Chairman, Daniel Levy, ahead of our final game of the season against Everton at the new stadium this afternoon, as published in today’s official matchday programme.

I like Levy. I admire what he has done. This statement says the right things but leaves me a little cold. Its a bit of a nothing statement.

He has an opportunity to suggest a forward direction. I wouldn't expect chapter and verse but some indication of what the plan is going forward.

I think he's got it spot on to be fair.

I'd much rather stop the talk and act instead. We've seen in the past Levy offer statements of intent (as vague as they can be) and we've all felt flat when what we expect to happen doesn't materialise.

Also, it seems like him and Poch (from Poch's words) need to come to an understanding of what the next step is. If Levy delivers that to the fans before it's defined between him and Poch, it could cause problems.

Love the ‘us fans’ reference. Easy to forget he’s also one of us, not just our chairman in an ivory tower.

I like the penultimate paragraph


It’s been unbelievable and now it’s time to believe.

Let's hope he DOES give us something extra to believe in.
