I'm glad he's okay. I think he's going to be a great player for us, though he gave the ball away a lot yesterday.

LOL at some of the comments above. I was watching the game with two other Spurs mates, and we were smugly talking about what a tough, brick shithouse we now have in the middle of the park - and then alas he was rolling around on the pitch with his hands over his face almost in tears -- because of sprained ankle... our conversation kind of tailed off and then there was an awkward silence.

l'équipe not saying anything about ligament - they're just saying nothing's broken and that he's out for the international games.

I really hope this is true and it's what i thought it ight be at the time. Ligament damage is nasty but IMHO better than a break.
Great news from Spurs that it's only a sprain, and he is only expected to be out 4 weeks ...sorry my for my earlier post ,seems their was several misleading quotes yesterday saying they were from l'équipe . Just glad it wasn't as bad as first feared !

Missing the agree rating right now. Not to mention the stretcher and oxygen. A certain beast would have just walked it off no problem.

Dislocated my shoulder several times, but a Sprained ankle is the worst pain I have ever felt. I did one recently and it was agony. It heals a lot quicker of course than a broken leg but the instability remains and there is a high chance of reoccurence in the next few months.

Great news. Looked pretty awful when he sustained the injury, so I'm happy to see it's "only" a sprain. Was worried he'd be out for 6-8 months.

Thank God it's only 4 weeks. I was fearing a 8-9 months on the sidelines - with a month or two to get back to where we was.

Good news!

Seemingly great news but I hope we have better medical staff than we had in the past.

Can people please stop this? Just be happy he'll be back in action sooner rather than later.

OOOhhhh my name's jonnyp and I lurve Capoue....

just kidding, as I'm sure he was.

What brilliant news that it's "only" a sprain. As soon as he did it I shouted to the wife in the garden "Capoue's out for the season" so this is a real result for him and us

Hahah, you tit :p To be honest I'm not that bothered since Sandro is back. I just know what a bad sprain in an ankle feels like and anyone who hasn't experienced it and is talking about what a pussy he is should just zip it.

Could be a ligament or the joint capsule. Had an injury like that when I played handball, extremely painful (no one gave me oxygen, was 16-17 and jumped of the court myself, handball is different) and took about a month to heal with the foot inmobilized.

Hope he gets well soon and that it isn't too serious.
