Watford fans question Spurs management of Capoue. I thought we gave him enough chances personally.

Some fans have this every thing or nothing attitude which is silly. See the discussion around rooney. Players are either fucking incredible or complete shit.

There are countless reasons why some players do well at some clubs and badly at others. There is probably far less pressure at watford and he just gets a run in the side to find his form and fitness. They could play a style that is more suited to him.

Look at siggy with swansea etc.

When he arrived he did look impressive until injury and then struggled to get back in the first team. Judging by his performances for Watford his injury woes are behind him, he is playing on a regular basis and his confidence has grown because of this. However I am not sure if he is any better than the players we have hence we let him go.

I think he was mostly good for us. He is a good player, and it was never like he was putting in Kaboul or Adebayor style performances, but we're managing well without him.

I don't think he was bad but i don't think he was the kind of player that pochettino wanted and so was up for sale. These things happen.

I thought Capoue was very good for some games .

Was he part of the French Revolution along with Kaboul vs Poch with Lennon and Ade too ?
I forget . But I seem to remember him being frozen out somewhat .

If it's true that he picked the side of Kaboul, Add and Lennon and didn't want to train Poch's way then he had to go. I always liked what he brought to the pitch but he would have brought more if his attitude was to work harder in training.

Like Siggy, I had doubts about them selling him but it's worked out for both parties so far.

As others have suggested, I thought he was a good-looking player when he arrived, an effective midfielder in his early performances and a very good passer. He lacked a bit of fire when he was with us and sometimes could drift out of the game, but was usually calm and capable.

I think his main issues at Tottenham were an ill-timed injury, followed by a difficult rehabilitation, followed by not seeing eye-to-eye with the new manager.

If it is so that he sided with other players who alienated the manager, then that would have sealed his exclusion from the side, but if he had not had his injury, none of the rest might have occurred

He was part of what was bad at spurs we need hard working players who bleed for the want to win. I don't think he showed enough fire, I prefer, Bentalab, mason, dembele, Dier, and Ali

From memory I think we generally thought him to be a decent player. It was a time though when we seemed to chop and change players plus Capoue like many suffered from injury. Always looked like a decent player but needed to go to a club where he could play regularly i order to develop. I hope he does really well

Well I think we can rule that out as he was getting bit part games almost right till he left unlike Adebayor.

Glad he's getting a chance. Was frozen out by Sherwood first when our centre mids were woeful defensively and we could have used him. Laid back player who never suited the 100mph Poch style but could easily have been Carrick Mk11 for us IMO.

Well, he helped them sink the Spammers and we are stacked with quality in his position. It's neither here nor there.

I don't see any comparison between carrick and Capoue :) Carrick was class for us and when we sold him we never replaced his quality and missed him massively.
