Before the start of the 2019 transfer window, despite going nearly 18 months without signing a player, Mauricio Pochettino guided his Tottenham Hotspur side to two consecutive top four finishes, as well as an agonising defeat in the most recent Champions League final, comfortably cementing himself as one of the best coaches in Europe.

They need to do their research properly; such a poor article. N'Dombele is not a sitting DM for one!

It all went to pot once they said the gaffer favours a 1-4-2-3-1 formation when the diamond was the formation Pochettino tried to shoehorn our players in to for most of last season.

The hopeful double-pivot of Winks & Ndombele with a no.10 stationed in front in the shape of GLC would be ideal should Eriksen leave. If Eriksen stays we could always go with a front 3 of Son(LWF) - Kane(CF) - GLC(RWF), however, not sure how GLC would figure coming off the left.

What is certain is that we have genuine quality in both GLC & Ndombele to compete for the midfield spots. Hopefully Eriksen signs & we have a squad that can be rotated without losing on quality.

But I listened with great interest to the expert pundits on Sky, Motd and TalkSport about the importance of Eriksen and how we're screwed should he leave as we have no one who can do what he does but never heard a single mention from one of them about this 'Lo Celso' ???
Isn't this the guy Spurs were interested in to replace Eriksen should he leave?
Who the hell is he?
He wasn't there on Saturday so obviously he doesnt really exist and has been striken from the memory of the media.
A ghost, a phantom.
What shall we do should Eriksen leave and we have nobody to replace him.
We are in big trouble.

Just watched Spurs new vid of Lo Celso in training, and I was a bit disturbed by how one-footed he looked. Very reminiscent of Lamela. I honestly have never seen him play, so maybe it wasn't indicitive of his usual style.

Why do people say this only about left footers?

No dig at you but you rarely hear this about a right footer

I can't remember the last time I've seen any of Sissoko, Dele, or even Winksy use their weak foot. And they're all more than good enough.

You better wait and see him play in a real game instead of reacting to the two-minute training video clip. He is much better on the big pitch.

So there's the chance we will have two Lamelas? It's as if I died and went straight to heaven. :woot:
