His mum text me yesterday to say:

"I've just been reading the responses in the Spurs forum. It's so uplifting and heartwarming to read the messages of support. They really are a comfort. I can't wait for Callum to read them all for himself. Let everybody know that it's appreciated and I will continue to post regular updates on twitter."

Legenday thread.

I remember the post in the ITK forum, I gave words of my own accident falling from a tree from height and the year long spent in a wheelchair after being told I wouldn't walk again with many numerous weeks spent in hospital.

Hope he gets well soon, I really do - I don't really know what strain my accident put on my family at the time, and reading these really hits home how much it effects, not only parents, but siblings as well.

Great read, and well worth spending the last 10 minutes or so catching up on it.

Fantastic news mate and thanks for keeping us updated. I don't use twitter so not able to follow his mum but please send her my best wishes and the rest of the family too.

Take heart in the fact that technology has come a long way and these doctors can do a great deal more than they could as little as 5 years ago.

Thanks mate, don't be too disheartened by the step back. Sometimes things happen but later we get to understand why.

Just to give a bit of background on my own journey going back all the way to 2001:

I was involved in an accident (I use to ride a motorbike) when I was knocked off my bike. Without going into too much details, 2 different consultants told me I would never walk again and there was a point where infection took over me and it was touch and go for a few weeks. I spent a year in hospital (over 3-4 admissions) and could not walk for 18 months. My angel (my wife) remained the most positive person I've ever known in my life and with that strength and positivity, I recovered (not fully) and even though I can't run and can only walk short distances (I walk with a slight limp) I've met people through my job that are much much worst off than myself.
With the positive vibes from my wife and family, not only did I beat the odds but went back to work and moved up the ranks to a management position. So when I say "stay positive" I'm not saying it because I saw it in a movie or read it in a book, I'm saying it through my own personal experience (y)

Hi MilkyBarYid

Just a quick question but who is Callum's favourite player?

I only ask, cause many years back, believe it was 1992 my stepson from my previous marriage was born blind. One Sunday morning we read an article in one of the Sunday papers, that a young girl had been sent to some Russian eye clinic to try and cure her sight, which was the same diagnosis as my stepson.

We looked at ways of raising money, and it hit the local paper. When interviewed and asked if he could have sight what would be the 1st things he would like to see, and his reply was "a London Bus, and Gary Lineker play for Spurs"

A little while after we got a call that the operation wasn't a success, then we got a call from the club offering us 4 tickets to see Spurs v Southampton, then a visit to the players lounge after to meet Gary Lineker. At time Gary was either ill himself when he suffered glandular fever or it was at a time when his child was diagnosed with lukemia. That day he turned up and made that boys day.

I don't know if the club still does things but I know they did a couple of years ago for someone on my sisters son-in-laws side of the family.

I know it's a long shot, but perhaps contacting the club with the name of his favourite player, perhaps they might consider doing something even like a visit to the hospital where Callum is. Something like that might trigger a response, and help him out of the coma.

Still with ya Callum hope we get some more positive news today
