Need to ditch this 3 at the back bullshit

We need more players in the middle of the park to have control of the game.

Dele is not a striker. And certainly not a hold-up-play striker. Do people understand this?

2 players out injured who are starters
Davies and Sissoko makes four. Plus the fact that we haven't got a defensive midfielder or second-choice right back, so are forced to play academy players who aren't ready in those positions. The squad needs a level of investment that ENIC simply won't make.

We are definitely worse than under Poch. At least we had a system, a style of play, even if we couldn't pull it off. This is just disjointed.

and yet we were 14th in the league and getting hammered by Bayern and Brighton even with Kane and Son around. Let’s not rewrite history. Things are shite at the moment but we were also shite towards the end of Poch’s reign.

They admitted a VAR error against us the other day I wonder if they'll amir one for us...
Probably not. They'll just make up some second phase bullshit.

It's so easy for them. Look at midfield, we aren't even pressing them.

I'm thinking more about the media hype, but yeah total waste of time and money - we should cut our losses with him, he's a bloody liability. For a manager that has a good defensive record it's diabolical!

thought this from the Athletic’s q&a sounded pretty spot on about why we hired Jose:

Hi Matt! Great question! There were a few things. The football reasons were that Pochettino had seemingly taken the squad as far as he could but Levy wanted someone to take them to the next level. Not a long-term builder but a short-term winner. Someone to beat their big-six rivals and to finally win a trophy. That’s why Carlo Ancelotti was so close to the job too. Mourinho, the thinking went, could still give an experienced team a short-term shot in the arm. Top four this season was the target, with bonuses planned to reflect that.
Then there were the non-football reasons. Tottenham are still in the midst of one long brand-building exercise. Look at the £1 billion stadium, the NFL games and the Amazon documentary. Daniel Levy was always desperate for a big name to come in, and no-one is bigger than Mourinho. He knew it was his only way of sacking someone as popular as Pochettino with the fans. And Levy knew it would keep the club in the forefront of the attention of the football world. Because if ENIC wanted to sell the club, or even sell part of it, that global profile would be very valuable indeed. Not that they have plans to do that any time soon.
