This is the fixture last season which started our downward spiral since late Feb 2019. Ever since that 2-1 defeat everything went down hill. As if its been over a year now of this run :(

Hoping we dig out the win today but confidence is at an all time low. I think I've just become numb to it all now.

Not me. Every defeat is just a harder kick in the bollocks. Arsenal can go level on points with us today. That’s how bad we are.

Surely he will play Tanganga left back as Burnley would just target Sessengon in the air and his softness.

Still feeling alright about this game. No pressure on us as everyone expects Burnley to win. That makes us a very dangerous proposition with our deep press, a block four and our intermediate ability to break with a long ball.

No fear lads.

We played a lot of very good, stylish, creative football in the first half against Wolves ... and still contrived to lose.

People somehow are managing to post incredibly simplistic stuff and overthink this, at the same time! Not sure if that's even possible, but that's what the thread is like. It's what every thread is like right now.

We've lost 50 goals per season from our squad. We have two world-class strikers and they reliably get us 50 goals a season, if they're fit. Despite the make-do, compromise, neither-one-thing-nor-the-other style of football that comes when you change managers in mid-season, we were consistently winning matches, even without Kane, until Son got injured. Then we started losing.

Snap. That's it. Either we play permeable football so our non-strikers can maybe nick a few goals and we concede more, or we play conservative football, concede a goal anyway and can't score.

We've lost 50 goals a season from our squad. Even if we assume that the replacements for Son & Kane are pitching in with 10 more goals than they would normally score, that's 1 goal per game we aren't scoring. That's 40 goals off your goal difference at the end of the season. You lose matches when that happens. You don't finish higher than midtable when that happens.

We were doing fine with Son stepping up for Kane. The football was messy, but we won the matches. That's why it's great to have two world-class strikers in your squad. Until we didn't.

We've lost 50 goals a season from our squad and we changed managers in mid-season. That's all the explanation we need.

Let's just grind it to the end of the season, continue the squad rebuild this summer, give Mourinho a preseason to make them into his own team and write off 2019/2020 as a shit-show of injuries and transition.

Do we expect Hugo to start?

Still intrigued to know the rational behind vorm starting over Gazza on Wednesday.

Don’t think I’ve ever see. A poll where where 50% of us think we will lose. Sad times.
