Bruno / Eze / Dele...

Dele safe but we're potentially bringing in two players for his position?

I think we'll look to sell Dele within 18 months.

Eze could play as left winger(as currently at QPR), not sure about right.

I think with all the ITK - Eze, Bowen, McNeil and not once mentioned LB, Sess will be there so Eze could be backup for Son

This one will drag to deadline day

Only potentially if we're the only team in for him.

The only hope I have for this deal is if the sale of Eriksen all of a sudden ignites us and we push for it. It doesn't feel like a deal we've wanted to do all window.

He's never really had genuine competition and he might be the type where it really does him good. I remember Walker coming on leaps and bounds as soon as we got serious about backups and brought Trippier in.

Do agree though, he has to be better next season or serious serious questions need to be asked. For now though, we need to give him the platform to perform. Build the team around him as the 10 with the right blend around him, bring in some competition too and see how he gets on.

Only way he goes to United is if Woodward absolutely melts and meets the asking price that we won't pay. However if Woodward negotiates a fair fee then I can see us swooping in knowing what the price is.

It is possible that with our new buddies Mendes and possibly even Zahavi in on the deal, and the pull of his countryman Mourinho we'd be confident enough to let Utd negotiate a deal and then decide if it is good value.

You'd think I was mental saying that Spurs could beat Utd to a player a few years back but I think it's possible now.

My only issue is that Sporting seem intent on milking everything they can out of Bruno and they'll try for a bidding war, which we'd 100% lose.

So what's McNeil? (LW)

IIRC, they put £50m towards property purchases. But, broadly speaking, the money for the facilities has come from club revenue and borrowing. ENIC have done well in overseeing the whole process.

It was for the land and was a loan convertible to preference shares I believe. So basically as close to a risk free investment as it’s possible to get.

As you say, they have done very well overseeing the process and financing it in a seemingly less punitive way than Arsenal for instance ( and I think the explosion in TV money allowed them to pay down a fair bit reducing our possible debt), but at no point have they taken a risk with any of their money. Which is their prerogative to be fair.

Off the field I applaud them, but I personally feel in looking at the long term infrastructure ( which is obviously hugely important) they have taken their eye off the ball in the short/medium term which I feel was a mistake. I’m sure they don’t feel the same though!

You'd have to look at the full financial picture. It's an incredible compliment to DL if you believe he could finance Hotspur Way, buying all the land around the stadium (which started in the early 00's), plus the industrial estate purchase and build to relocate the businesses, and the private jet company etc. etc. and then also clear all of our debts by 2015 (ref https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-guide-Premier-League-s-financial-health.html - by this point, it was a clear site with just Archway left).

The current debt is the stadium build debt, but none of the above is debt or owed elsewhere (the accounts are public access), so if they haven't, it's a phenomenal achievement (in that, I don't believe it is at all possible that ENIC or DL haven't put money in to achieve this).

It's crazy how negative our own fanbase is about it.

So the accounts are there for the public to see? Can you please show me an unaccounted sum paid to the club by Levy and or ENIC?

And again, I believe ENIC have done a good job of getting us to where we are, but I will not accept that they have bank roled us, if ENIC selled tomorrow they wouldn't take the debt of the stadium with them and we as a club wouldn't owe them anything unlike the Chavs and Roman.

Can see Mourinho admiring Fernandes but not sure he'll see him a priority at the moment. One of those deals where if the terms were tipped more in our favour , I could see them maybe making a push for him but not someone they are going to push hard for and especially get into a competition with Utd over at the current time.

Few articles coming out about United and Sporting struggling to agree a fee, as per the ITK

We have stacks of cash. Stadium repayments are like, £50m a year. Total wage bill & operations somewhere around £150m-£200m. I'd be surprised if we didn't post £150m profits - again...

Someone asked jj on Twitter - “do we have any chance on Bruno”
JJ- yes if we want to

Very interesting indeed, quite positive in a way , i take it as upto us if we want him nothing to do with UTD. I feel this may depend on Eriksen moving, I really hope we ship him out asap this window, therefore potential additional funds from that sale (Sporting happy with staggered structure so helps us) also eriksen going frees up wages.

If we can get the mooted fee of around £15m for Eriksen and snap up Bruno, it would be as good as we can hope for really.

Eriksen is no longer having a positive effect on the team or squad. Jose made that clear today. Freshening it up with Bruno could really make a big difference in the last part of the season.

If it’s possible, we should get the deal done. I reckon he will be a massive star in the Premier League.
