Yep my point was exactly that. Based on the wish lists of others for a number of overseas players we have to shift others out first or have to cover the wages of them until January if not offloaded to europe. Not for this thread but a number of our fans do not seem to have grasped what has to be done to achieve their desires. Its not just about buying.

But that’s what I kind of said in my post too

Looks like we will bring in 1 of GLC / BF and actively push Wanyama n GKN out

And if Eriksen doesn’t sign, we might sign the other of GLC / BF

And if all 3 leaves, and if we sign another forward, then maybe someone else like Coco or Dele (both due to injuries) might be on borrowed time.

After his ‘final game’ for Sporting yesterday, I expected some significant movement on this one way or the other today. Instead radio silence thus far ....

Yep would have been expecting some movement on this today but it's absolutely dead. The clock really is ticking.

I think we've pushed this as far as we can without agreeing the fee and getting the player across for a medical but will continue to pursue other avenues. Once these avenues are exhausted or fail then we will move for Fernandes.

We know the price Sporting are asking, so will come in with a bid they should accept when the time is right.

Of course this comes with a massive risk, our other avenues all fail and in the meantime Fernandes goes to another team or Sporting reject us.

I can’t see anything happening now except possibly sessegnon in, but I’m not even that confident on that. It’s starting to feel like last season now, everything has gone quiet which usually means nothing is happening.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm actually confident even with 3 days to go. I know we will sign one of GLC/BF. I just can't see us ending the window like this, it would be absolutely disastrous.

Reckon it will be Sess + one of GLC or Fernandes with Eriksen leaving. That outcome is inadequate, as we really needed two Eriksen-type creative midfielders.

I agree with you on the confidence, but based on the Spurs experience, I'm not basing my confidence on the fact that the club wouldn't allow itself to end a window disastrously.

This is spurs we are talking about, the club who went a whole season without signing anybody, that fact alone makes me less confident, i think we will get sess but any others will be tough to say the least

One thing working in our favour with the new deadline is that a deadline e day signing for us still leaves the seller with three weeks to replace that player, previously we’d likely have missed out or had a premium attached when the selling club was also at the end of its window.

the only thing i'm confident in is the round of shit sandwiches we'll all be munching on come thursday.

am over the moon with ndombele but we've had 1 new player for pre-season and we're being hung out to dry by eriksen. not exactly tip top. trying to stay confident as per the ITK but fuk me, it's tough.

I just feel like this season is so different, you can only truly understand if you're a Spurs fan - so I'm guessing you guys know what I mean.
It has vital consequences if we don't bring the signings in. You might aswell set the clock for Poch leaving at 5pm instead. That's how important I believe these last few days are. Trust me, he will go next summer if things don't change quickly. And if he goes, it will be very sad, things will just crumble apart.

The ITKers were all confident about a month ago. They haven’t come out and said the same in the last week unless I’ve missed it. Things change.

As always goes both ways. The fact Betis have 3 weeks after this to conclude their business is allowing them to run this game of chicken with Levy as long as possible. If they needed to get all their business done by Friday they probably would have settled on a deal by now.
