I wonder what changed, as early ITK was he’d sign if he didn’t get his dream move to Spain.

Turns out he’s just like any other player with a thirsty agent sucking him dry. Should really have smelled that BS about him signing if he didn’t get his Real move a mile off.

CE leaving is holding everything up...been told he could be going up north, which is strange...definitely want BF and GLC not or....was told we want 3 which maybe refers to Dybala too?

Yep. It’s been obvious since day one of this window that lots of our transfer business is Eriksen dependant. Surprised that he would go to Man U though.

Don’t blame us! And say ‘Same old Spurs’. He has been stringing us along, and not being his normal self.

Enough said as not a CE thread!

I hope no one is blaming you, we all appreciate the info I'm sure. This doesn't make much sense though (from the outside at least), either stuff is dependent on CE or it's not, if it's not it would surely be completely irrelevant the way he's acting

Thanks for the ITK

I wouldn't mind selling eriksen because for me it looks like he dont care about spurs anymore and then it's better to sell him. Still think he is good but all went downhill from January.

IF we get GLC, BF and dybala I would be speechless xD

Thanks for all the "job" you guys do and have a wonderful sunday
what ITK

I wouldnt say its entirely dependent but his contract situation and lack of desire to sign a new one, makes it a very important subject that we need to resolve now...

I watched Utd against Milan the other day and they look turgid in midfield - would be amazed if they got top 4 with that squad. However, if they get Eriksen and Dybala on top of Maguire they're suddenly a genuine contender again.

If we want to strengthen sufficiently we might not have much choice, but I have a bad feeling this would come back to bite us in the league.

I’m not pointing fingers, just relaying what was said. I know all info is passed on in good faith ??

Could somebody more knowledgeable than me summarise Bruno Fernandes in a nutshell?

Don’t think I’ve ever seen him play and I can’t stand YouTube compilations.

Well, this is not BF in a nutshell...
But here's excerpt of view from a young Portuguese Football analyst @tiagoestv in twitter on BF

31 Goals and 48 G+A in all competitions. Anyone watching the Portuguese league will tell you Bruno Fernandes is outstanding. Anyone in the analytics community will tell you he's probably overperforming in front of goal. And my take is: both, both can be true.

You can't expect him to score 20+ goals every season but he does consistently offer a shooting threat (both from range & arriving in the box). + I believe his shooting technique is way above average. He's also a super consistent chance creator, both from open play and setpieces.

He's this high risk passer who really benefits from the total freedom he is given at Sporting. Off the ball he has all the tools to be a great counter-presser.

why is Bruno's passing accuracy so bad? Because literally everytime he has the ball he'll either be shooting or trying to put someone through on goal, full risk. Not saying that's necessarily a good thing, not saying it's something that translates to a better league and to a team with better players. Might even be a sign that he really has gotten comfortable playing below his level here.I'd be cautious about spending a ton on BF. Too many things need to go right for his productivity to be retained. He'll still be good, he's talented and seems like a workhorse which managers like, but the 70M€ valuation is based on a G+A production he won't have elsewhere.

Some great ITK, I think some people dont know how to read the ITK tea leaves because its been positive all summer even this late on but people still get outraged, last year the ITK was significantly less positive as early as the world cup ending.

On Eriksen: I'm sure United is very keen and I'm certain Levy will do everything possible to off-load him if he refuses to sign a new contract. However, Eriksen himself must agree to joining United. I'd be really surprised if he agrees to joining United. I've been following Eriksen since he was a young talent and he's always been adamant that his dream is to play in La liga. To go all this way, refusing to sign a new contract, talking of a new challenge, disrupting the squad harmony, only to sign for Yanited. Albeit a huge club but right now they are a EL team with an inexperienced coach building a new 'project'. It would quite certainly destroy any possiblity for him to ever play for RM or Barcelona signing a lenghty contract at his age.

Back on topic: It would pain me to Eriksen in a United shirt but if worse comes to worse and we could secure both Fernandes and GLC we'd be a stronger team.

I can understand we want to move him on but I can’t see that we’d be that desperate that we’d let him go to Man U given the transfer history. Plus it would be sickening seeing him play for another English club. Stranger things have happened though.

If fernandes is the closest like for like player we can get hopefully we push it through though.
