Apparently (I’m guessing on that transfer show) Sky have said we’re expected to go back in for Fernandes and he’s unlikely to go to United.

Correct; was Kaveh Solekol who said it, but they're sticking to the narrative that it will be him or GLC

I would suggest that for CE to leave in the non PL window the offer would have to be ridiculous for a player with a year left. Given that we have roughly £4m salary left to pay him, about 40% of what he’d be on if he signed with us/ what we’d have to pay his replacement, I think the club would need to be offered full whack to even consider selling him with no ability to replace. Conversely, I don’t see any club offering more than £40/£50m for him when a year later he’s free, and I just think we’ll value the extra year of his service (in a situation where we’ve signed no replacement) far higher than what clubs will be willing to pay.

If I were his agent I’d be working overtime to get someone to pay c.£60/65m in the next week, earlier the better, or risk missing out on my big fat commission for at least another year.

I can't see him going after the premier League window shuts if we haven't replaced him properly either, but I'm not sure why everyone's ruling out a move in January. I know he can get more money by signing a pre contract agreement for a move in the summer, but if money isn't his primary motivation then we may let him go to whichever team comes in for him at a reduced fee.

So far, only Italian journalists are reporting a deal with United and a Portuguese journalist saying that the only club to make a proposal is us... I think I know who to trust, but let's wait.

He seems awfully confident ?

He's building off his "MUFC total agreement for BF" tweet from 3 days ago, before our reported interest.
Nico is the same reporter who said that we've signed Lo Celso for 60m on a 4m/yr deal till 2024. Relax people.

Only reports in Portugal are that he's included in the squad for Sunday.

I highly doubt there will be a conclusion until after the game.

Levys fault. He voted for it
On the other hand, at least I don't have to scroll through three weeks of endless "I can't believe the season starts before the window ends, what a stupid idea, why would anyone ever want this it ruins our whole season" posts like every other window.

So if he's right, we're signing Lo Celso and United get BF. I'd take that, GLC is clearly Poch's #1 target.
