I'm strongly part of the cult of Bruno and I'm gutted we are not hijacking this! Surely we can match what United are offering. I really dont know how and why we arent going for him......we are going to regret this massively! This guy is class!

The only way im ok with missing out on him is if we use those funds to go and get Soumare or another DM. Otherwise this will be a massive mistake imo

all about timing unfortunately. we put our eggs in the glc/dybala camp when we had money, now when he's about to move we apparently don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.

am still hoping against hope though for a last minute glitch called jose....

As a part of the cult of Bruno, I am losing faith.

Although I know that United have also signed Sancho, Rice, Pulisic, Mpabbe, Neymar, Bale, Eriksen etc so im not sure he'll get much pitch time there:whistle:

Put it this way, if he goes to United but we get a really solid DM/someone like Ziyech to fill a hole when Eriksen goes I really wouldn't care. My problem is that I can see us not getting a DM or someone to take Eriksen's place.

Eriksen eventually going and a striker on loan is what I can imagine as our business. I have so little faith in us when it comes to transfer windows.

Are we really that desperate for an Eriksen replacement? Lo Celso, Lamela, Dele can all play there, we apparently have Eze in the summer also.

Ziyech would be a dream signing. Bruno would be a statement, but he's prolific in a sub-standard league. Ziyech has shown top quality time and again in the CL.

Here’s hoping we are just waiting for Man U to the negotiating; so we can just match it and Sign him. ?

Tbh, and I may be wrong but I think he is overrated. As people have mentioned above Ziyech would be a better signing IMHO.

Very true. It would just be nice to sign an established attacking player that would really have other teams thinking 'shit, he can hurt us'. That's why I thought Dybala was so exciting and why I've liked the idea of Zaha in the past and the feeling is the same with Ziyech.

Thinking about it other than Lucas who can be very hot and cold anyway, other teams have been facing the same set of attacking players when playing us for what, 4 or so years now. Go back to the 2016-17 season and look at the lineups for the majority of matches and the front 4 are more or less the same as what we still put out now. That's really not right.

I'm off for some pre-match beers at Mega Bar, but I'll let you all know how he plays and more importantly, whether he applauds the fans after the game

He's certainly a massive risk. Only been successful in Portugal, which is an incredibly weak league now. Benfica and Porto are not as strong as they have been in the past either.

I saw Bruno last year against one of the worst teams in the league and I don't really recall him doing too much. His output is phenomenal, no question, but I don't think he's in the same league as Eriksen, doesn't control games or isn't really the creative hub either. One of those players who has excellent timing in being in the right place at the right time, which is certainly very useful. His excellent technique in striking would be useful too as we'd probably score more from distance and counter attacks.

I just think people are expecting a direct Eriksen replacement which he isn't.

Maybe, but there’s no indication that he would even be interested in joining us or wants to leave.
