But in theory you need two quality players for each position to win stuff - Realistically we're incapable of achieving this. We don't have the finance or pulling power to pull it off.

We already have GLC who can't get a game for us ahead of Dele as an attacking midfielder. Why do we need to add another? I'd much rather we upgraded on Lucas/a wide forward. It'd make much more sense.

Would actually be pretty disappointed if we signed him. He's not a bad player but considering we're in need of strengthening in quite a few positions (especially in defence) it would be weird if we did spend a lot of money in a position where we have actually got pretty decent cover.

Why? We need to think not just of tomorrow's team but also of the squad in 6, 12 and 24 month's time. We know Eriksen is leaving, we know that we struggle for creativity without him... If JM has identified Bruno Fernandes as the solution to the problem, why not sign him now?
True, we also need upgrades at DCM and at the fullback positions but in January you have to wait and see what's available. Not signing a much needed playmaker because you need a holding midfielder more makes no sense to me...
