I did say and it clearly others do believe me. Well, those that watched that and understood it at least.

Just so you know, it's ok to have an opinion even if you don't like it.

Yes, I said it's all on the players. What are you struggling to understand with this?

The fact that it wasn't all the players fault.
Substitutions exist for a reason, either injury or to change the game.
Our manager watched the collapse without changing the game.

What are you struggling to understand about the use of substitutes?

No game changers on the bench . Amazing what a couple of injuries do .

I really like Ange, he is not free of criticism, especially today. There are definitely things I think he can do better, game management, tactical tweaks, 'taking the sting out of the game' etc. Before today I think there had been positive signs relating to some of those things

However, it feels like some things transcend our manager. The soft underbelly, it just always seems to be there whoever the players or the manager are it seems? I think we as fans all had that gut feeling when Brighton scored their first, the opposition players and fans must sense it too.

The stat that someone posted earlier just sort of sums it up, another record set by Spurs, a negative one. It feels like we have only ever released these shackles for one or two full seasons in the Prem era.

I don't even know what I'm trying to say really lol. It just feels like we are a bit cursed. I'm still buckled in for the ride because I love Spurs, and in my lifetime I don't really know anything different!

You and me both. 30 f'ing years of this is more than enough for any lifetime one would hope...

yea man. 34 years of supporting Spurs, been hoping for something for all of those, something about this club seems incapable of actually changing.

i lost hope a while ago, but i'm so emotionally invested in this club that days like today really get to me.

I wish people would just get a grip. Work. In. Progress.
Expect a few ups and downs. Third season is where it will all come together. Or fall apart.

Like everything there is a need for measure etc
But that nature of that really hurts when we had played so well to be in that dominant position. The players switched off and lost their belief etc as Ange has just said. Unacceptable.
it's been a lovely run but that fucking hurts and all of us have the absolute right to be really fucked off with that.

The thing is we aren’t shocked by this…it doesn’t matter who is in charge or who the players are the end result is ultimately the same…

Terrible 2nd half, but equally Brighton were excellent. Going to be fun hearing all the "Ange out" weapons on social media for the next few days 🫠

'2-0 and we f-ed it up' such a banter club go from the highs of last week to a complete knockout reality check all before the international break FFS!

I just can't believe that level of domination before half-time to a complete capitulation 2nd half. They just got in our heads and the rest was far too easy we were taken apart down the wings and schooled by a manager that must of learnt what Ange gave to him on a plate. All Spurs had to do was shut up shop instead decide to leave the doors wide open and get ransacked by a bloody apprentice!

This club certainly knows how to wind you up and after the last three matches it seemed we were beginning to look up now we stuck with the also rans and that next level we need seems out of reach.

I'm fuming just a lesson I never seem to learn that this club will always let you down and it's pathetic we have to face the same old shite at work on Monday - embarrassing and christ it needs to be so much better than this crap!

Have to agree with this. Big fan and supporter of Ange, but it was obvious we were losing control, we had 2 first team midfielders on the bench and he only changed with 15 mins to go.there was no indication that those on the pitch were going to wrestle control back, accountability on the manager and players for this… but more the players

I was pretty shocked by it to be fair.

Not the result. I fully expected a high-scoring game, and predicted a 3-2 either way. But the way we absolutely capitulated was sickening. I've been commending our heart over the last coupe of months, however today was absolutely embarrassing.

Once again we go in to the international break after an absolute shit show second half performance. We will never, ever shake the tags we are associated with.

Maybe, but there is always fresh legs if not game changers as such. There is also ofcourse tactical tweaks, shape changes, shifts in mentality etc.

Game management isn't only about bringing on super subs that will unlock defences. Brighton were proactive from the touchline, we weren't even reactive today.

Don't get me wrong the players should be taking a long hard look at themselves, all I'm saying is so should Ange.

He doesn't sound happy, bit like the rest of us then.

Christ. What he says around 3:00 about being not wanting to be falsely rewarded by potentially bringing on subs who do change the mentality and level of application etc required to win the game is batshit. And he normally speaks so well.

Is he basically saying 'once I decide it looks like we deserve to lose, I want us to lose and I'm gonna make sure that happens'? Sure sounds ike it.
