Yea Ange has to take most of the blame today, hopefully he learns from it.Ange shaking his head like he wasn't complicit in that shit show of a second half.
And I forgot to add - not one of their goals was a good goal. Udogie had the worst 20 minutes of his career. Panicked clearance attempt on the first. Didn't get across and put a decent tackle in for the second. The third he gave away an easy throw in. Then didn't stand his man up when it was thrown to him. Compounded by Bentacour being a pussy bynot sticking a tackle allowing the cross. We kept playing at 100 miles an hour, flying in to and missing tackles, ball watching..... it was the epitome of Sunday league for 20 minutes.
I kind of agree. You can't tell the players that you're all about non-stop front foot football and then bollock them for not taking the sting out of a game. But i'm sure he will take responsibility for it. He knows that there will be games like this where we will come unstuck. We were fantastic first half. But the problem is that as soon as things get difficult Ange is unable to react. He Prefers to shake his head on the sidelines and leave it to the players on field to do something about it. We will keep getting results like today, does not matter if we give him millions to get the players he want. He’s just too stubborn to admit he needs a plan B
You can keep saying it but I don't think anyone believes you. Well, anyone that watched that and understood it at least.Nope. This one is totally on the players.
It won't be...This needs to be a massive lesson for this team.
Really disappointed with Romero and not the first time truth be told.Yea I do agree with that, I don't think they're strong leaders tbh.
We've lacked strong leaders at Spurs for many many years now tbh.
The trouble is that the only lesson we will learn is that we never learn our lessonsThis needs to be a massive lesson for this team.
Brighton got some luck on their goals but us running out of steam like that was concerning. I think our subs should have come sooner. Gutted.Yea Ange has to take most of the blame today, hopefully he learns from it.
We've been very good recently but today was mostly on him.
Just like players, managers have good and bad days also, I just hope he's not too stubborn and does realise he could do with making some changes a bit earlier on sometimes.
Yeah the tired legs were definitely a factor too. I think that's the reason we didn't put up much of a fight after the 3rd went in. If you make a double sub up there it's potentially a different last 30 minutes for sure. Not having son odobert Richarlison on the bench as attacking options didn't help either
Yeah, cup football demands consistency which we don't have. We might play brilliantly for a few games but then we'll have an unexpected shocking phase in the knockouts that will put us out. Need to change this aspect. Those people dreaming of being in Bilbao for the Europa final in May are jokers. In two legged football you need periods when you can be pragmatic. We will never do this.
Ange won’t, and even I don’t want him sacked yet, but we have players in our squad who I’m sure can ply like that. Those people dreaming of being in Bilbao for the Europa final in May are jokers. In two legged football you need periods when you can be pragmatic. We will never do this.
Ang does not believe in managing games, he believes in attacking all the time - one track bully. This half has been an absolutely shocking 2nd half, made even more annoying by the sheer contrast to the first.
Great away win, everyone talking about how good Spurs were with another challenge ahead... We were ALWAYS going to lose, so annoyingly typical of this club.
Really need to learn how to manage games and adapt in some capacity. It can't be our way or the highway in every minute of every game. Adaptation doesn't have to result in a lack of threat. We honestly won't win anything without the ability or actually more so desire to shore things up a bit when needed.
The nature of that second half was actually really worrying. We could have been 4-0 up and given it away with that level of performance.
Yeah totally correct thoughAnd I forgot to add - not one of their goals was a good goal.
We have far too many Mr Nice Guys. Who in the squad is the general. The one that rants at poor efforts, raises a fist with a come on shout telling others to switch the fuck on. Demanding greater effort...... We need a nasty fucker. A Roy Keane type.
Rant over
You can keep saying it but I don't think anyone believes you. Well, anyone that watched that and understood it at least.
Just so you know, it is ok to criticize him when he gets it wrong just like it's ok to praise him when he gets it right.
You are saying it's all on the players yet he watched it happening for 35 minutes without trying to change it in any way.
