Dont say your committed though. Dont go through the motions.Dont pretend to be courageous.
When you havent put yourself on the line with Levy with your job on the table to force getting what you need, this is not courageous and he is STILL playing the game. Still pretending all is ok and he is having just a hissy fit.Be brave like you talk Poch.
But he hasn't.He thinks he is a manager in a car factory not a one of special manager.Yes Sir Mr Levy.
Tell Levy straight if you have a better idea and put the fucking job on the line for it
I can't imagine that he hasn't expressed his frustrations with Levy face to face, he certainly has in public.

Ridiculous post, slating all of our players, complete bollocks.
Our squad is 3rd best in the league, let me spin it another way for you:

Lloris - world class goalie and France captain

KWP
/Foyth - young raw talents, the latter we got ahead of many top clubs
Toby & Jan - 2 of the best CB,s we’ve ever had + Sanchez is a brilliant talent who’s adapted very well
Rose - on his day one of best LB,s in the league and Davies very capeable back-up

Dier - key part of our best team 2-3 seasons ago
Winks - dominated Real Madrid home and away in the CL a few seasons ago

Lamela - works so hard, clever player, crucial goals and assists in big games
Son - phenomenal player
Moura - did you see the hat trick against Ajax?!

Kane - any words needed for him? World class.

Your assessment was so so wrong, over the top and negative, yes we have a few players who want out but we also have probably the strongest squad we’ve ever had!

Ok we are off form and players and manager to blame but don’t question the quality of our players, they’re more than good enough to come 3rd in this league.

So, our youth system’s not up to it, our scouting for bargains has been abysmal and we’ve bought some new players finally but won’t alter our net spending ways according to itk despite needing quite a few more changes. What’s the way forward for the club right now? Worrying.
New owners. ?

3rd? 3rd??? Sorry but I wholeheartedly disagree.

And our form for the past 10 or 11 months would suggest my assessment is more accurate than yours. We do have a few potentially excellent players in Moura, Son, Kane but statements like “dominated Real Madrid home and away in the CL a few seasons ago” and “key part of our best team 2-3 seasons ago” when talking about Winks and Dier shows how delusional You are being about the current quality at the club.

And, in fact, just proves my point. Winks or Dier haven’t kicked on to become a force in our midfield no matter how you try to look at it.

Nor have other players like Lamela, others have gone backwards. And it’s all down to two things; whether the talent to achieve at top-4 level is really there in the first place and whether they’ve had enough competition to force them to improve.

Do you really honestly believe either of the three would get in the Liverpool, City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, even the Leicester midfield right now?

Or any other players except Moura, Son or Kane?

Sorry but as Poch himself said football isn’t about the past it’s about the present. Your post is stuck firmly in the past fella, sorry.

Or, the players are much better than your assessment and the reason you think they are poor is because they are playing under Poch.
That’s a very fair point. If you’re suggesting he’s lost the dressing room do you really think an Allegri or Mourinho will get more out of Winks, Dier, Lamela, Rose, Davies, Aurier, KWP?

Id wager they won’t even get a look in under either if they are hired - because those managers wouldn’t come in the first place without a significant war chest to improve the squad in key areas. Namely the midfield and defence.

Perhaps not but they'd get more out of the other players and they would be tactically better and have an identity and proper system.

I think he and the players are frustrated at always being two or three players short of being able to compete in a Club that can afford to make the necessary investment. He's not happy, they're not happy and it shows in the football from both the manager and the players.
This is it for me. They have lost the belief in the people at the top, they’ve hit the ceiling. Probably started with the manager and filtered down to the players.

Changing the manager will only be a short term fix. I believe we will always be nearly men under ENIC, their ambition is champions league money I honestly don’t think they are bothered about trophies. If they couldn’t back Pochettino after what he proved what chance has anyone else got of getting the backing? People acting like Mourinho will guarantee trophies, I’m really not convinced and I’m even more convinced that Levy wouldn’t employ him either.

I see Trippier is not doing bad where he is,Siggurdson didnt do bad where he is either.
What Poch did was take a group of players and worked around a rigid system. The system itself was good once he got everyone fit to the levels they needed but it was also limited as we have seen. When the superior fitness and pressing was in effect,we would physically dominate but we dont anymore and thats because they all caught up. What we are lacking now is the failure so far of changing the system to one thats more fluid and attacking to a certain extent. Im not sure Poch knows how to do that. The jury is out

So glad I spent the Saturday shooting 5.56mm rounds at steel plates. Definitely hit more than the old Spurs.

What manager of any stature would indeed come to the club without a "significant war chest" unless you are talking of Fat Sam, or Howe? If that was the case then that would hardly be a step up.

If i were Allegri or Mourinho i wouldn't even interview unless some agreement was made in advance on transfer funding and policy.

Winksy apologising to the fans and also saying they’re behind the manager.

I’d still like Poch to come out and apologise.

He did. In his after-match presser he said that he is sorry to the fans, who he thanked for their support and said that everybody is disappointed. It just happens to be the part that nobody bothered to report. You can reach it from the link that spursfan77 had in his post.

Finally, someone has said it. Spot on.

And even the first team when you take away a fit and on-form Dembele (gone), Trippier (gone), Toby, Verts, Eriksen (going) who, actually, are we left with who would inspire a starting XI capable of hitting top-4?

Lloris - too many mistakes
Aurier - liability
Rose - wants to leave
Davies - hardly solid or inspiring
Sanchez - not good enough at this level
Tanganga - looks promising but not ready
Winks - passes sideways, loses the ball, zero assists
Dier - loses the ball constantly
Lamela - headless chicken, very little end product
Son - good when played in the right formation doesn’t seem to work atm
Moura - good, falls over too easily, doesn’t seem to thrive alongside Kane
Kane - world class but doesn’t get enough service, can’t work miracles

Lo Celso - will take a season to settle
N’Dombele - not enough quality around him to see his best
Sessegnon - who knows!

And how many would get in the Liverpool or City team?

We’ve lost 17 games in all competitions in 2019, more than any other premier league side, even Watford.

The club have really hung Poch - and us - out to dry with their transfer policy in the past 4 years.
Good assessment. Lloris has to go for me too error prone and costing us bigtime, not sure Gazza is the answer but i would be looking to sign a GK in Jan

One thing is certain im afraid there will be an NFL franchise playing out of white hart lane in the next one,two years, fact and for those who disagree lift your head out of the sand. The stadium was built not to take us to the next level in regards to football that is clear as day due to the complete lack of investment in our squad. The stadium was built to bring an NFL team to have their home at white hart lane, so there for bringing large amounts of revenue for Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis. They have achieved this by building the stadium off the back of the success we have had over the last 5 years. Now the main focus for them after achieving their goal will be just to stay in the premier league and they will make there money off the NFL. You say if this happens crowds will reduce but no that clever little bald fuck wit has 54,000 season ticket holders so every home game there will be at least 54,000 unless fans give up their tickets but doing so will never get them back. I believe Levy has taken his eye off the ball in regards to running down contracts and along with the lack of investment in the squad, the players feel what is going on with Levy and they have all had enough of his off field antics, no ambition just NFL. Who i feel sorry for is the best manager we have had since Billy Nick who Levy will blame for all the failings. ENIC AND LEVY ARE A DISGRACE AND ALL THOSE WHO THINK THEY ARE NOT ARE BLINKERED. No away win since Jan 24 pts out of 23 games and lost 18 games this year, the champions league papered over the cracks. We are in free fall gang alL down to one person DANIEL LEVY WHOS MAIN FOCUS IS NOT SPURS BUT NFL FACT!!!!!

I've not seen it discussed, apologies if I've missed it, but I thought Gazza did ok under the circumstances. Was really unlucky with that second goal, a decent save and then a deflection. Third goal Toby didn't even get in a challenge, Gazza inches away.

Compare our squad to Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea and Leicester if you want - basically the teams we are competing with for top 4, it's better on paper so yes we have the 3rd best squad in the league.
