SHANKS, I live in Central America so Brazil is just down the road from us. About a month ago Fox Sports Latin America came out with Fox Sports plus and between the two channels (Fox Sports and Fox Sports +) Latin America, including Brazil, now gets every premier league game played over the weekend. Of late, 'cause Spurs are doing so well, most of our games are live.
ESPN also shows the F.A cup games, so you're well covered

Thanks buddy, much appreciated :-D

Now I really can't wait to go!

Well big man, we Have Gomes and now Sandro.... plus we used to have Gilberto. So there must be a few.

I have the same problem... I am in Thailand for the Citeh game and for the cup final.

Not good :-(
Every city in the world seems to have an Irish pub, and they always have sky sports, so when I am out of town, I always head for a pint of the black stuff!

Shanksy my old mate, they show Premiership football in Brazil more than they show Brazilian football. You will have no trouble watching the semi mate, no problem at all.

I watched every game we played while I was over there, it was brilliant, there was a channel that just showed one game after another all day on Saturday, with the time difference it started at about 9 O'clock in the morning with the 12.15 Premiership kick off then had live games from Germany, France and Italy before showing the 5.15 prem kick off and then a Spanish game later on, and it was all interspersed with Brazilian games too, it was wicked, we stayed in the pub all day and watched them all, the only one I can remember was Portsmouth beating United 2-0 and Rio scoring an og. Great day, great day.

Yeah this is correct. I live in Venezuela, and these are the televised options we have aswell as a couple of Premiership channels on DirecTV.

If Giovani had stayed and succeeded, they would be showing each and every single game involving Spurs

Got to this thread a bit late, apologies Shanks, i'm not in BR right now so i can't quickly confirm, but i would imagine ESPN will be showing it, as mentioned elsewhere.

Some general advice while i'm here:

Bahia is the party central of Brazil so enjoy!!!

Beer - drink Skol in cans or Brahma from bottle or draft. Stay away from Chopp - it's their version of cheapish draft beer - it's popular but it's basically the level of Stella.

Spirits - drink cachaca, in fact drink lots of cachcaca - the best way to drink is in a caipirinha, drink a few of those every day, preferabley on the beach.

Food - go to Churrascaria's as often as possible, they are basically meat bbq all you can eat restaurants, but they rock, big time. Eat as much as you want - specifically watch out for Cupim and Picinha (cuts of beef). Also check out 'Carne Seca' as you're in the north.

Going out - take only what you need and nothing too fancy, petty crime is common, but only if you look like a 'gringo'.

Ladies - enjoy but double check first!

Have a good one.

Thanks buddy :-D

We are staying on a huge resort, about an hours drive north of Salvadore, so not really going to be sightseeing as much as we would of with the original holiday we won.

Thanks for the heads up on drinks, and if we do make it out, I'll be sure to try out a Churrascaria!!

We've got to take baby milk with us, as apparently the milk in Brazil isn't good for the UK babies, something about which chemicals are used, which is a tad annoying, I reckon us english folks are right wimps when it comes to eating and drinking abroad!!

I was in Joao Pessoa in NE Brazil a couple of years ago and had no problems. Hotels and some bars were showing Premiership matches - although there were a few hours delay in some cases. Also there was a pretty good broadband service available - so worse way take your laptop and hope for a decent stream!

I currently live in Brazil, in the South-Eastern state of Santa Caterina. Here Channel 12 Ao Vivo show 3-4 live EPL games every weekend and all CL games live. I have had the pleasure of watching many Spurs games this season thanks to them. I am positive they will show the Cup Semi Final games. I just have to note the KO time as I'm three hours behind UK time.
