Brilliant from Fury. No telling how much that burst eardrum fucked up Wilder though. Didn’t look right at all after that.

Great performance, but typical of Boxing in having another rematch. Gotta be Fury vs Joshua. Don't want to see Wilder vs Fury again.

the rematch won’t happen. i think it has to happen in July, after that there is no contractual obligation. no way Wilder would be ready again by July after this battering.

I'm normally opposed to the licence fee but I'm willing to pay it if it keeps boxing off TalkSport. According to TS, Fury is now in the calibre of Ali and the "biggest sportsman on the planet".

I've had problems with burst eardrums in the past. They absolutely fuck your sense of balance and equilibrium. If that's what that was then I'm genuinely amazed Wilder made it to rd7. Regardless, deserved win for Fury. Props to them both for two good spectacles.

agreed. added to their pathetic cricket coverage, Talksport shouldn’t be trusted with anything.

Comms saying they think it was a cut on the ear rather than a burst eardrum.

It wouldn't be so bad if they cut out what I hope to God is hyperbole. It was an entertaining fight and an incredible performance by Fury but it wasn't proof he's up there with Ali, a sign that he's as popular as Messi nor 'the biggest night in British boxing history, even eclipsing Lewis becoming undisputed'.

Actually disagree to be fair.
I honestly believe that win will elevate Fury to global star status now.

what he did is up there amongst the ranks of the very greatest heavyweights.

fair play to him, absolutely tore the champ a new one, not many were expecting that

It will elevate him but he won't be anywhere near the name recognition of Messi, Ronaldo, Federer or LeBron. Outside of Ali and Tyson no boxer has had a legitimate claim to be called the biggest sportsman on the planet.
