Add five million to the money spent on Janssen, Sissoko and we could have got a thirty year old called Modric, (and RM would have taken that) but oh no lets find another twenty year old with no end product.

No way on earth would Real sell Modric, think that was a wildly optimistic statement. I think every top team in the world would want him and rightly so. Now the undisputed best Midfielder in the world bar none. Even 60-70 mil wouldn't secure him in my opinion.

Our team is just too slow, look at that back heel Eriksen done to Lamela, he had no pace to get in on goal despite being ahead of the defence. Arsenal have Walcott, Sánchez, Iwobi, probably even eyezil who would have had enough pace from that position to get a 1 on 1 with the keeper.

Poch took off Son and Alli today, why? To save them for the carling cup?? Who gives a fuck about that?? Sissoko or Janssen were never going to get the winning goal today, or any day by the looks of things.

Yea our squad looks good on paper but the reality is that Jansen isn't looking like he'll be able to make much impact in terms of goals this season, he'll be lucky to get 5 league goals at this rate. Sissoko will be sold for about £12m next summer I'm almost sure of it. He offers a bit of pace but that's it. I'd rather see Onomah, GKN, even Edwards given a chance than him.

Went exactly as i thought it would to be honest.

People here just think we should win every game at a canter, we're tired all the time and Bournemouth are better than that. Missed Harry today possibly cos Son looked wrecked.

The only real negative i have from today is that Nkoudou has done more in 2 sub appearances than Sissoko in all his appearances.

I find it amusing that you've already decided on where we'll finish (or won't finish) and that you think we could be winning the league anyway.

That is a big assumption.

My assumption is that we need to improve on last year's performance to maintain our top four status. An improvment on last season would also give us a shot at the title, possibly.

That we have already registered as many draws this season as last, I am in a postition to presume our chances are now much less as we are only 9 games in.

Imagine we stay unbeaten for the next nine games, but with the same win/draw ration - would you be confident of us finishing top 3, top 4?

Why does going top at this point in the season matter to some people?

Can't believe anyone hasn't made an SC meltdown twitter yet. This place is in absolute shambles when we don't win.

The same Lamela who hit the bar and was closest out of all our players to scoring.

No strength? Are you kidding me, the amount of times, especially second half he held on to the ball under pressure was a big positive from his play today, compare that to Son, Alli and Eriksen.

Has no vision? He is one of, if not our most creative player in the final third.

His pace. How many times did Alli carry the ball, get caught by the defender and lose possession. Eriksen didn't beat anyone for pace today.

But yes you make some really valid points.

It blows my mind that Lamela gets accused of being weak, having no pace and giving the ball away when we have Alli and Eriksen who would get gold and silver in the Olympics if there was an event for Weakly Giving the Ball Away In Slow Motion.

Bournemouth did a Tottenham on us today! Never let us get into our stride. As they tired we improved but they fell back and we had our usual problem of breaking down a packed defence.

He has limited attacking options without Kane..Son, Janssen and Sissoko were ineffective which considering that they cost close to £75m you'd expect a bit more for your money
It was the not starting Janssen, moving Som from the left where he has been so effective, taking off Dele and leaving on a woefully poor Lamela

People tuning in now who didn't watch the game. It wasn't that bad at all.
It was frustrating more than bad

Bournemouth pressed us very hard first half and denied us any space in the final third, we had little to no answers to this

Second half we took control but really struggled still to actually break them down and create any decent chances

We never looked like winning the game, while they had 2-3 very good chances to win it

We were very poor. Bournemouth had plenty of chances and on balance deserved to win. We didn't create any notable chances in the entire 90 minutes, we never looked like scoring.
I beg to differ, Bournemouth didn't have plenty of chances at all, we had more than them, they had one shot on target and a couple of headers off target, the way they pressed and fought us in the first half may lead people to believe they had chances but they didn't and the second half was one way traffic until near the end when they actually got to our box but even then they only had the one header.
we didn't dominate and were well off our best, certainly in the first half but Bournemouth most certainly didn't deserve to win, unless we judge them differently to ourselves.

He's just renewed his contract until 2020,
intending to finish his career at RM
Good idea to offer 50 million but a week too late.
Admittedly the High Rd. has many hidden attractions
that the Castellana lacks.

I only saw the second half and from what I saw Lamela was our one attacking player who was looking to constantly be involved. Not everything came off but he looked like the most likely to create something, so whilst you make a valid point when it comes to Son and Janssen, you completely destroy it with your hate campaign.

You're easily the most boring person on this forum.

I just wish we had a real game changer on the bench. Nkoudou or maybe even Edwards would be handy in forcing a win.

Because wasting 4 points against WBA and Bournemouth can be crucial for our league position after 38 games?
And we have to beat the rest of the teams if we really wish to be title contenders.. Could not understand why it is so hard to fathom this logic by some..

Bournemouth raised their game against us like we raised ours against City

I think this is part of the package that comes with transitioning in to a top team

The next phase is to become more creative and more clinical (especially the latter I think)

We do seem to need some pace to add an extra dimension to the attack too, but it needs to be mixed with intelligence and not just blind pace, hopefully in time NKD can add that

1st half looked like a team that looked like they had a tough match midweek

really think Poch got it wrong today, really believe we should of started Son, and Janssen, and definitely a 4-2-3-1 today. really think Lamela is at his best on the left, though starting to wonder if like Eriksen, his contract renewal is effecting his performances, and his confidence to shoot. he definitely had times he should of let loose.

I did adopt Sissoko at the start of the season, but really don't like him out wide, I can't defend him at present and was very lucky to stay on the field. in fact I'm so disappointed with him at present he is grounded till Tuesday:whistle: i think he looked better in the Euro's when he played more central and on the left (that's the way I saw him play in the Euros)
