Given that we're categorically not going to "sell the lot of them" as some would like to see - what's it going to take to re-motivate these players next season?

ndombele over winks any day and just anyone over Sissoko...please

I'm ok with Winks, as it stops GLC dropping so deep. But definitely no more Sissoko for me. He just hides when we're in possession. And his touch when he does get it, urkk.

Ndombele just has to get fully fit and up to speed, because he should be starting by now. Embarrassing to be behind Sissoko

I don't understand this school of thought at all. Levy wasn't on the pitch and he didn't pick the team or the tactics. What is it that he's done which makes you believe it's his fault?
Appointing Jose and also giving us nelson & Saha and njie & Janssen when we had two possible title challenges.

This team has been rotting for the last two seasons at least, it isn’t on Mourinho just yet. There’s been failings on so many levels prior to his appointment.

Oh please let's swap managers with Bournemouth, Brighton or Sheffield and watch those teams get turned over within 30 minutes.

The club can't afford to sack him but I'm beginning to think we'd be better off with a different manager. Jose was brought in because Levy was under the delusion that the squad was good enough to compete despite years of statistical decline. That very obviously is not the case, and we'd be better off with a progressive young manager who builds projects. That's never been Jose's m.o., but we're stuck with him, and with a situation that increasingly seems unworkable. Levy has absolutely fucked it.
I'm more of thinking that we cannot afford not to sack him

Jose needs to be ruthless in the summer. Get rid of the water carriers and those with a bad attitude. Bring in players with a decent level of quality and a strong mentality eg Hojbjerg and I believe we’ll see an improvement in our performances.

Does anybody actually care? It's got to the point where I'm not angry, upset or disappointed. I just dont care about the results anymore.

He has got to go.

Kane
Alli
Lo Celso - new to team
Ndombele - new to team
Bergwijn - new to team
Sessegnon - new to team
Son
Skipp - new to team
Toby
Gedson - new to team

The rest need moving on over the next 18 months as they are either past it or average.

This current squad is going nowhere any time soon no matter who the manager is and we are going to have to suck it up until it receives major surgery.

I have no issue with Davies atm. He's been playing pretty well.
He's no Roberto Carlos sure, but he's been fine.
And actually when he has got forwards as a regular fullback (not this sliding to a back three to release Aurier) he's actually lined quite well, and provided some much needed balance.

Vote for Davies :D

Pathetic, not a single shot on target. Not one fucking shot. I’d be very surprised if we win again this season.

Sorry mate but I can't agree. We have conceded significant chances even in the games we kept clean sheets and still look extremely panicky at the back. Tonight we could have easily lost the game 2-0

Yes they had chances but we were generally in control. I’m just saying let’s put this game in the context of where we have been over the last 18 months - which is basically dross. Jose comes in mid season and has to work with an exhausted spent team low on confidence and running on fumes. Eriksen goes almost immediately and most of the team is injured. Since the restart we have been scrapping and showing heart and desire. Our creativity is nil. But no one can turn the likes of Lamela into a better player in a few months. 4 / 5 players need to be replaced. Jose is taking us in the right direction.

Why, precisely, would Nagelsmann want to leave the 3rd best team in Germany, with serious resources and ambition, to move to a mid-table English club? We are below Sheffield United. Nobody would suggest Nagelsmann go to Sheffield United.
Whilst I appreciate he was out of work, where were Liverpool when Koop joined? Too early to judge but would you have thought CA would have gone to Everton where they were? You have to aim to bring in the best that is out there to move forward otherwise you might as well say we wouldn’t be able to attract Chris Wilder. On that basis we can only look for a manager from 10th in the league downwards and someone outside the top 5 clubs in most European leagues.

3 seasons ago we’d have murdered Bournemouth. Put 6 past Leicester away, 7 past Hull. Tonight was so far away from that. I am lost for words. Can’t explain it - but the last 18 months has killed us.

Yes the players aren't pulling their weight. But the manager sets them up and influences them. We've been shit since Jose has come in. The players are at fault however, the right manager would get them playing and bring results.

I'm not saying the answer is Chris Wilder however, look at the results he gets with that squad. Not one of sheff uniteds players is better than a spurs player however he gets them playing and brings results.

We need a manager that can do that with this squad.

All this Poch revionism needs to stop as well.

We were playing this bad under him for a good 9 months towards the end of his tenure.

Its easy to bash the new manager when he's working with the same player mentalities and deficiencies that got the last manager sacked.
