It's like some of you only watch what Spurs players do when on the ball. Given that between 40-50% of the match the other team have possession, you need to appreciate how bloody hard players like Sissoko work for the team in covering ground to block passes, chase, make tackles/interceptions etc. So yes - I think Jose does watch Sissoko and sees him give 100% to the team.

I agree - I find the benefits of playing Sissoko but I just see no benefits in outcasting Ndombele.... some may argue he doesnt deserve an opportunity though and see why but in my view he absolutely does

Cannot for the life of me understand the choice in midfield. This is the midfield that has to start Sunday.

Can understand the defence as we are down to bare bones and Jan is undoubtedly the best option for LCB we have available.

Happy with rotation in the forwards (hope Kane is taken off so we don't run him into the ground) and being honest it is probably the best combination we have at the moment.

Why on earth are we playing both Sissoko and Gio again, both have been injured and need some form of rest ready for Sunday. How Gedson, Tanguy or Skipp cannot get a start says a lot about the faith Jose has in our midfield.

Pray we start well and can get Kane off ASAP.

Pleased that Moura and Son have been benched. Both have been poor since the restart.

If he doesn’t want to use Ndombele, it leaves us with fuck all other options at CM apart from Xavi and Iniesta, I mean Winksoko.

Goodbye Tanguy, such a shame we didn’t see the best of you. If Jose doesn’t trust you against a team in the relegation zone, then he never will I guess. I hope you get more than your standard 10 min cameo
Such a waste

We don't know exactly what's happening in the dressing room between Jose and Tanguy, but it's everyone's interest to get the best out of Ndombele - our marquee signing. He's not trusted to start yet, but if fingers crossed we can get a decent lead then you would think Jose will be inclined to give him some good minutes off the bench. Let's not assume Tanguy is an "outcast" just yet, it's been a disrupted first season and hopefully he will be fully up to speed to play more in his second season

Obviously want to win tonight but it definitely reduces the stress knowing that if we lose it increases the likelihood of West Ham getting relegated. I think I would prefer to lose than draw.

Did a great job of that against Sheffield United

Hope that is the case mate, can't help but feel that this game was crucial.

Playing a team in terrible form with a huge game on Sunday, I feel if there was anyway back he started today.

Really hope you are right though.

I'll be glad when the match kicks off, at least people can moan about the players kicking the ball on the pitch rather than the ones who aren't.

As I said the other day, I think it's pretty clear that it goes beyond football matches (individual performances, how the team is doing, results, etc) with Ndombele, at the moment they are irrelevant really. To my mind they want to see him approach life 24/7 as a footballer - whether that's his fitness, diet, application and attitude day in day out - in a more professional, disciplined, focused manner before he gets meaningful minutes on the pitch because that seems to be where the problem lies. He isn't banished so you assume there is a way back for him but he's got to work hard for it, and not just for a few days in training, and prove he wants it and has the dedication to be a top level professional.

Don't get how that's hard for people to see tbh.
Because everyone else at the club has said he's been training really well

He had a poor game against Sheffield so he who should be got rid off? Then that would apply to most of the team as Sissoko was far from the worst Spurs player in that particular match. What a juvenile statement to make

Fair enough saying Ndombele hasn't done enough to start a single game. I just don't understand:

A - Why Sissoko is deemed important enough to start every single game.
B - If Sissoko is so important, why have we not tried to rest him for this game against the second worst team in the league when he played the full game 3 days ago and he damned sure is going to start again in 3 days time in the one match we absolutely want to win.

Absolutely bizarre then.

He's clearly insanely talented, if he's trying in training then why not give him a chance at least?

If it's just a personal issue with Jose (which looks increasingly likely) then it's on Jose for being far too stubborn.

It's because Aurier is the only RB in the squad, and the only two players who could feasibly be shoehorned into replacing him (Foyth and Tanganga) are both injured. Many of us are frustrated with him but until the transfer window opens there are simply no alternatives. Not the case with Sissoko.
Im guessing that your suggestion or opinion to replace sissoko is ndombele?
