With the ITK that Sissoko could go next summer it makes perfect sense, he looks like he could fit straight into that role.

We're not the Tottenham of ten years ago. We have the best stadium in the world, the best training facilities, the manager who's one the most of all active managers, and we're regular Champions League participants. One season without CL won't suddenly ruin us! We can't afford to be without it year after year, but one slip-up won't hurt our reputation.

If we keep the nucleus of the team together which I am certain will be the case then Soumare will be walking into a football club with plenty going for it. No need to be short sighted if we end up having a lack of European football.

Lloris, Alderweireld, Ndombele, Gedson, Lo Celso, Dele, Bergwijn, Son, Kane are all excellent talents. He'd only be adding to it which would appeal to most now.

True, but I think with Mourinho, the new stadium and our capacity to offer higher wages, we're probably still a bigger draw than we were a few years ago even when we had CL football under Poch. Sure, we'll miss out on certain players who demand CL but clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal have both made some very big signings even when they've had no CL football to offer - I think we're capable of the same now.
