Yeah, I can't say Im thrilled with 3 at the back but we have to trust Poch and his staff. Id be much more comfortable with a CM 3 of Dier, Winks and Sissoko but we'll have to wait for Diers return to see if that is revisited

The thing i dont like about a back 3 with our personel is that it seems to invite teams onto us. We should always be a team that applies pressure and not invite it.

The problem for me is it seems to make us play so narrow, and when we do that we lack any threat in the final 3rd. Just look at the arsenal game, we moved rose to LM and we looked better with wide players!

It's the principal. He's trying to highlight it for future reference in the hope they do something about it.

I'd like to see all the big clubs come together on this because other countries always help their clubs out.

Then the lower clubs will bitch and moan saying the league is favouring the top clubs.

The french fa postponed rennes league game to a later date so they can prepare for arsenal on a thurs day night lol. I hate arsenal but that shit is ridiculous.

Thing is, I wouldn’t want any other English club benefitting from extra rest in Europe. I have no desire at all to see any other team in the champions league from England do well. Assuming it’s the usual suspects involved of course.

I’d happily get behind Everton, Wolves, Palace or almost anyone else if they somehow managed to qualify for it, but the rest of the so called big six can all do one!

I would prefer Gazza in goal, especially knowing they will press like hell, Hugo makes me very nervous

I think the 5212 system is perfect for this scenario. They have to come at us and leave gaps behind. We need a Kane and Son axis that functions in the way it did at Wembley against Liverpool last season. If that happens we’ll definitely score

I just hope our defenders don’t unnecessarily pass the ball back to Lloris and create unneeded pressure when any opposing players are in the vicinity.

Our fullback/wingback situation is weird. It seems that more often than not this season, Poch has picked the more natural fullbacks in wingback formations, and vice versa.

That’ll happen alright, unless the game plan is to play long into pockets of space

Please no fannying around at the back. Just hoof it for Son and Kane if you’re under pressure.

That calamitous Milan collapse as defending champions against Deportivo when they won 4-1 and then threw it all away in the return leg losing 3-0 was the first CL game I remember watching.

Bit of an uneasy feeling of "if it happened to them it can happen to us" going on for me :cautious:... But I'm still mostly optimistic.
