Sorry I just thought it was obvious to see that Eriksen played many key passes when he came on.

Sherwood ..... I honestly don't know where to start my argument with why he has not done a great job in 3 months.

No need to argue, he's done okay, some good some bad...but he's not the guy to take us forward, absolutely now way.

A few things....

First and foremost, I am a Spurs fan, Soldado has been utterly awful for us and quite possibly one of the biggest flops in the history of the Premier League, especially considering his price BUT, BUT BUT....I DO want him to do well, fuck my pride, id rather he shit all over my pride from a great height and put in amazing performances every week as well as banging in goals left, right and centre

In other words, im not here to say I told you so, I am just being honest, I have no reason to have an agenda against the guy, I want him to do well but the truth is that he hasn't, nothing can account for tonight's miss and blaming Sherwood is ridiculous, Soldado has had many other games both during Sherwood and Villas-Boas' reigns where he has missed similar or even easier chances

Anyway, moving on....

I never necessarily said, nor are my opinions exclusive to this site, that id said all of these things on this site nor the internet, I was speaking generally

Nor did I say I HAVEN'T slagged Soldado off, I have and deservedly so, only people without a clue and/or rose tinted glasses would praise the guy so im not sure where you're going on that one

The same applies to Ade, perhaps I didnt slag him off on here per se but id have done it whilst watching the game and it just so happens I was posting on this particular thread before hand hence why I felt the need to carry on posting and what not

And there you have it, as you were squire, as you were...

Well no, you said you 'lauded' his hattrick against Anzhi. What you actually did was question "why people are shooting their load over it". You said you've given him praise at every opportunity, yet limited 'every opportunity' to four goals in two games. Never mind, say, his assist for Adebayor at Southampton. Or the pass that set Lennon up for a chance at Man Utd. Or numerous other instances of good link up play, intelligent passes. So do forgive me when the most positive thing you've said on here about Soldado could also be seen as criticism. Compare that with 14 pages of 'Soldado looks utter shite compared to Defoe', 'Soldado is shit'... You even said yourself 'And on a night where I say something positive about Soldado....perhaps hell is currently freezing over as we speak....'

So, leaving your selective memory aside, as you were.

I can't be bothered with a back and forth debate to be honest mate, and no, its not because you are right or I am wrong or anything like that, I just quite literally cannot be arsed

Enjoy your night (y)

I can, always looking for the ball, always looking for a forward pass, always trying to pick out runs, he's a positive player and he's technically very good as well, rough diamond IMO who in two years time is going to be one of the best players in the league, you can see his ability.

Not writing him off just saying I don't think he's so good that Sherwood deserves the abuse he gets for not playing him. In this case I'm pretty sure it would be because he'll play Sunday.

So who is the person who will take us forward?
Wish we all knew. In my opinion, no more chance managers. Thank includes the De boers of this world. Van Gaal for me, because if he doesnt get us playing with a plan, then no one will

For me its Tim. The signs are good. The players seem to be responding. Fed up with the big exotic names

The new players we sign well come good next season. I don't no if they will be able too take us too the next level. I mean top 4. But we do really need a clear out.Players like Kyle n, siggy, and Kabul. Maybe we won't get much for them but it is a start so I say keep Tim for next season. Give him a chance and let's see. Come in the summer the max Tim will get is most prob 20m to 30m and the rest he will have too sell. Which is not bad from a club view.i just hope we have a stabel team come the start of next season. But let's give Tim Sherwood time.

i can see high morale with players, but i cant see any game plan or shape whatsoever
Hard to see that morale on the pitch.

Can see it in training videos etc but think that's down to the characters in the dressing room more than anything else.

Think they are enjoying themselves more than AVB. Or at least a few are. If we get a top top man in next season, we may just see a superb team. The talents there

Good game that had me on the edge of my seat as soon as Chadli scored our first goal. Sadly we just didn't have enough to score the third when Benfica were on the ropes, although good tries by Kane, Chadli and Siggy.
Personaly I thought Tim got his tactics right, including Ericksen whom he appeared to be saving for the more important weekend game.
Once again merit must be be given to the traveling Spurs fans who made their presence felt right from the very start.

Which is an achievement in itself, the benfica fans were loud :singing:

Can't everyone just agree with one thing?

This is Tottenham Hotspur Athletic Football Club. Not Fulham, West Ham or Millwall.

We as a club, charging too many hard-working people, a lot of money to watch mediocre football are gaining nothing.

Why are we still subjected to sub (sic) standard performances?

Again.
