I never expected to feel as gutted as I do after this game. Went into it thinking we'd be smashed and we really should've won. I hate football sometimes, I really do. :(

I think Chadli could be a decent striker for us - might be worth a try alongside Adebayor at some point.

Only prob, we looked great first half Chelsea, we looked great against Arse and again tonight. Didnt win one of them
I don't disagree Millsey - but those teams have been streets ahead of us this season - I couldn't see us winning any of them TBH.

I've honestly been really impressed with Kane's cameos this season. He's still a young man and he clearly looks like to me that he has taken a step up in his development in the past year.

He looks stronger, his reactions to the step up in pace look sharper and he looks intelligent on the pitch.

The whole team played better when he came on. Not saying a lot about our 26m pound man is it?
Like kane hope he is given a run of games till the end of the season now

Chadli is really coming into his own, FU haters!

Agree all the new signings are good players IMHO just think we've mishandled most of them. You can see Soldado has class but his confidence is shot, the decision to drop him after his goal was poor. Chadli has improved as season has gone on, Eriksen too. Pauli and Chriches shown flashes, Lamela just not enough of a chance.

The squad doesn't need much surgery, just a left back, new CH and a young striker. Oh and a manager who knows what he's doing.

That was gutting. Coming so close to that third goal, but not even getting the win in the end. Still, I felt excited about a Spurs game for the first time since Old Trafford, and that felt really good. Looking forward to Saints now, hoping that we can finish the season on a positive note.

Well done Tim Sherwood. He has done a fantastic job in just 3 months. I hope he is given the chance to stay and build on this team.

Wouldn't call it fantastic by any means. First few games in charge we saw a bit of fight but its been much the same as AVB's tenure - lots of possession, no creativity and capitulation.

I cant see him being in charge come next season and to be honest, I wouldn't want him to be. We need stability and experience in the dressing room and he offers neither.

It doesn't matter who was to blame for the last goal, we were chasing the game. Sandro filled in well at centre back, Bentaleb was arguably our best player on the park and played some passes tonight that really should end the ludicrous opinion that all he does is pass backwards and sideways.

Absolutely spot on.

Fantastic effort tonight, really, really pleased with that. Some of the moaning going on says it all really.

Did Tim really believe Spurs would win this game? If so, why did he wait until the 75th min to put on Eriksen

I imagine he is struggling with his back injury from his warm up before he came on? maybe he was only fit enough to play 20 mins?

Totally, and I've liked what I've seen of him this season whenever he has come off the bench. Removing the bamboozlement of him starting last week, he was also pretty good then as well. Lovely bit of skill to win the free kick to boot.
I'd be very happy keeping him as our third striker next season, but to me, he is now finally ready to take a PL loan next season if we can get one organised and give it a right good go. Could be the making of him.

Are you serious? No I mean it - have you ever played the game before? The way this young side controlled the game against such quality opposition showed EXACTLY the quality of the game plan and motivation provided by the coaching team.

Also, the come back had almost nothing to do with Eriksen. Kane provided the ariel and physical presence up front that gave Chadli the freedom to pick the ball up and drive. Kane set up the second goal and Eriksen help us keep the ball. It almost seems like people like you want Sherwood out no matter what happens on the pitch.

Well done Tim Sherwood. He has done a fantastic job in just 3 months. I hope he is given the chance to stay and build on this team.

He should change his name to Shervinho or something to get people like you on his side
I have played the game, and was playing in the 4th division until I dropped out for university, if that matters (which it shouldn't). But yes, I am serious. Eriksen should have never been put on in that situation, it was a dumb substitution. As for the change in tactics, Chris Ramsey shouting from the sidelines seemed to be due the credit for the changes we made in gameplay.

As for his name thing, I'm assuming your one of those individuals who thinks that people pick on Sherwood because he is English. That is not it, at all. It is simply that he makes some baffling decisions and I do not think there is enough evidence to believe that he has was ever ready for this pedigree of job at this point in his career. He could be a good manager in the future, but I do not think he is ready for a job of this level yet, psychologically, and ability-wise.

In the end, my point still stands. Eriksen should not have been brought on in the 75' in a match that was all but lost. He is one of, if not our single-most, important players. If he ever were to be put onto the field, he should have started.
