That was nothing short of disgraceful

If your talking about the attitude of some of our so called supporters on here then I agree.

I thought we played pretty well for what is after all a makeshift team, we played better than them up until they scored and people make comments as if we're expected to walk over them, Benfica are no mugs, they haven't conceded a goal at home in nine games, have only lost at home to Barcelona and Chelsea in the last two and haven't been beaten by a margin of three or more for six years. We'd struggle to beat them with a full strength team on top form, try being positive and getting behind the team for a change.

You could see he was brimming with confidence after being dropped for every game since he scored against Cardiff when he took that shot...

Come on man, the time for excuses is up, there is absolutely no excuse for him not scoring that, even for a player low on confidence that was pretty shocking

The horror ... the horror....
That's like shooting fish in a barrell for Levy.

He'll have that uploaded to his Wii later for practice.

You're fired.

You're fired.

You're fired.

It's quite fun actually.

Coming from someone who's never said a single positive word about Soldado I think I'll pass on your opinion, thanks. Adebayor missed a far better chance in the first leg but of course you weren't slating him then.

There has been no channel-running to draw defenders out of position, the players are just static.

The lack of control of a piece of a football has been atrocious.

The movement towards the penalty area to draw a defender to make a foul doesn't exist.

That is basic football and we have lost it completely.

Lennon as captain is laughable. Can someone tell me the last right-winger at Spurs to have been made captain?

I feel like we don't have a manager and the players are just making it up as they go along. The problem with that is they are not good enough to use this tactic.

Can we just forfeit the final 8 games? Its just going to be 480 minutes of dross.

Look how many times one of our players is stretching to control the ball after a pass from a teammate. It's the shocking execution of the fundamentals which is so concerning. What the fuck are they doing in training?

I've banged on about it as well, but usually about our own throw-ins and lack of movement imagination (as also seen in this game).

That last throw benfica had in the top right corner had no one marking the throw taker making it 2v1 after the throw. It was the same 2v1 situation in that area of the pitch that started the move for the goal. Some players are just not doing the basics.

Either tim's not drilling them properly or they just don't care and can't be bothered.

1-0 in this game after 45mins is a good job though. Benfica also being gentle with us...which is nice of them.

Its not all from Tim's reign, under AVB we used to do exactly the same. Just let the opposition get the ball back in play, get 2 vs 1 etc.

Under both managers its just evidence of a lack of attention to detail when it comes to the organisation of the team. What's most disappointing is that you have fans like us highlighting it, yet the same ol' shit keeps on happening.
