Almost pulled off the most unlikely of results and for that I have no complaints.
Three great chances at the end could have pushed us into extra time.
We actually looked like a decent team in the end - could this be the beginning?!
Only prob, we looked great first half Chelsea, we looked great against Arse and again tonight. Didnt win one of them

That pen in the last minute cost me £50. FML! Once again a shite ref (in this instance, corrupt ref the last time) giving Benfica a victory over spurs. A case of history repeating itself.

Nabil played a risky pass because time was already up and we were in the wrong end of the pitch. I don't blame anybody for the last goal.

Looked like he played an awful pass straight to one of their blokes from where i was sat, wasn't like he was trying something special and it went astray, awful imo.

The footballing gods have sentenced us to a lifetime of misery. Good luck and fortune are not words associated to Tottenham Hotspur.

Really? We played well? No drive, no passion, no clue. There I have a lousy attitude.

If that's what you honestly think then maybe you'd be better off supporting Chelsea or Man City...... or possibly growing up and getting behind the team you apparently support, you know, the clue is in the word supporter.

just highlights how fucking awful Sherwood is, wrong starting lineup everytime we take to the field

I'm no Shitwood fan but I couldn't really see what different he could have done with the line up. Maybe start with Eriksen but I'm guessing he had the PL game in mind

Great effort from the lads. Well done to them and the gaffer.
Last 2 games have been very encouraging even if the results were not what we'd hoped for.

Just think if we hadn't have fucked up the first leg. Proud of the lads tonight. Went behind against good opposition and then went ahead. The makeshift defence restricted them to a penalty and a header (a header which came after a lapse in concentration following a cleared corner). Unlucky boys. Take heart from that. Play with that spirit, and we will be winning games again. That sort of desire makes me believe we can give Liverpool a game at Anfield.

It doesn't matter who was to blame for the last goal, we were chasing the game. Sandro filled in well at centre back, Bentaleb was arguably our best player on the park and played some passes tonight that really should end the ludicrous opinion that all he does is pass backwards and sideways.

Lads done triffic tonight.

They were decent for the most part - deserved a goal and to score 2 was a bonus. So close near the end...

Why not play Eriksen from the start? I just cannot understand the logic

Hopefully didn't want to risk his back so he starts against Saints.

Chadli definitely needs to play more, he has some fantastic ability but it needs coaxing out of him.

Eriksen's substitution tonight has provided great evidence for Sherwood's lack of a game plan. He decided to turn on the game and go for it at the 75' mark. Why don't you start the game with the stronger player? It makes no sense to leave it so late. It also put Eriksen, who is possibly our most important player, in an unnecessary position to get injured. Complete ineptitude from Timmy here.
