Belgian outfit Westerlo are looking to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacking sensation Alfie Devine before the end of their transfer window.

The North London club have had an impressive transfer window in terms of incoming as well as outgoings. They have added a lot of quality to their squad and have managed to offload quite a few players who were surplus to requirements. Apart from that, they have loaned out quite a few of their young stars to ensure they get enough first-team action.

Meh. Sounds like a nothing move. Would rather keep him around the squad and hopefully give him a few outings in the Cups.

We aren't going to play an entire side full of teenagers in the cups otherwise expect them to be short runs.

He's had loans in the domestic lower leagues already, a loan abroad will be great experience for him and he will probably see different coaching methods to the UK leagues so expands his football knowledge.

I understand that but some time off the bench and time on the training pitch at Spurs is surely more useful than this.

Hello Poch

Alfie has Bergvall, Bissouma, Gray, Bentancur and Sarr ahead of him. And Ange might rather play Kulusevski or Maddison deeper than give Devine a start. I think its best when he gets one more year regular football.

Depends how much they plan to use him. Westerlo are currently sat 4th in the Juliper league, and I'd say if he's getting regular minutes against the likes of Anderlecht, Brugge and Standard Liege it would be better for the kid than what he might get for us in the cups.

Decent move where he'll be with a fellow Spurs loanee in Vuskovic
Came to say the same.

Devine gets experience from a European mid level league, hopefully he can get plenty of minutes!

Devine gets the wonderful experience of living in another country, which will help him grow and mature as a human being. Which in turn can only be beneficial for his career as a professional footballer.

Vuskovic gets to train every day with someone who has extensive knowledge of life at Spurs.

When no offer from English clubs were deemed interesting enough for club/player, this move has many positives.
