As much as the Wanyama sub makes no sense, I really think it is because Jose’s first XI picks itself at the moment EXCEPT from the CM pairing...

Maybe tonight is just an experiment, giving Skipp and Vic an opportunity to present themselves as an option...

Jose got this completely wrong tonight, a wasted night for several reasons.
...or not wasted. Depends on how you look at it. Maybe Dier will be dropped, other players are simply not good enough and this is the game that confirms it. Jose's only been here a few weeks. Poch had this lot up to 5.5 years. He needs to see for himself, give players a chance, and then pull the trigger.

He’s been shite. So lazy defensively.
Lo Celso effort just wasn't there. So disappointed. He is losing his chance further.

I haven’t seen the game so don’t want to comment on his performance, but I think it’s important to keep in mind some of the players in the past that didn’t get a look in despite the constant calls from fans.
I remember back in the day there were weekly calls for Mabizela to be a starter. Or Postiga, Rohan Ricketts! What a glittering career he ended up having.

I’m not saying Lo Celso is gonna be a repeat of that kind of signing, but more that when players aren’t getting picked, there’s usually a reason for it.

Foyth has played well.
Skipp has put the effort in that Dier should have.
The rest have been rubbish.

Or just shopping window for Wanyama.

I gave KWP the benefit of the doubt getting roasted by Coman and Davies. But Perisic beating him for pace is just putting the final nails in his coffin. Not sure what he brings at this point.

Wasted night. Failing to give opportunities to those that should get them. Giving opportunities to those who are out the door. Annoying. And classic Poch. Oh well maybe our next man...oh hang on

Who should have got the opportunities? The only one I wouldn't have minded seeing was Parrott. But in truth it is better for him not to have played in a game like this.

So who? Le Celso, Sess, Foyth and KWP all given a run out to show what they can do. Not really sure who else you wanted to start?

What a terrible showing. Haven't strung two passes together all second half. KWP is dog dick bad. Would settle perfectly at a decent Championship side. Rose is finished as well. And Dier, well, he's just Dier. A construction worker with football boots on.

It's a dead rubber ffs!

I did'nt expect anything else.
I always expect better than this shower of shite. No pressure means players should feel free to show something, we can’t keep the ball for more than a couple of seconds. We have been dreadful

I'm not so worried about it, although it has been shocking. Bringing on Son tho really annoyed me. He should have been rested. Also not giving Celso a full 90 to work on his fitness and not playing him in his preferrd 10 position.
