Gareth Bale isn’t keen a return to Tottenham and is determined to stay at the Bernabeu. Gareth Bale’s future with Real Madrid has been up in the air ever since Zinedine Zidane’s re-appointment as manager.

funnily enough i am not sure if Bale is really that bothered about being on the margins at real.
He has won everything to be won, his family have an amazing lifestyle there, he is on a massive salary and if he doesn't play that much he will be fully fit for Wales and likely extend his career by a bit. Three more years left in his Madrid contract and then a mega move to China or the US at 32 wouldn't be awful? And if Zizou is out after 1-2 years his fortunes could improve again.

I know this sounds ridiculous - but should he get picked for Wales if he doesn't play for his team?
Maybe 4 of 5 games. But if he missed a whole season by being cast out, he's not going to be match sharp.

Probably still be the best player Wales have had since Cliff Jones

He doesn't want to come back here, he'd have to do some work.
Just read the Sky Sports interactive club stats bit.
Lucas Moura made more interceptions and clearances than half the defenders in the league.
Think Bale might think he's too big a deal now to have to do that.

He's have to cut his poxy hair as well. Can't have a man bun in the premier league.

Bale coming back would be as much about PR as anything IMO. We need to be moving forward, not living in the past. Think it would cause all sorts of problems both on and off the pitch. He should sit tight at RM if the millions added to the multi millions he already has are that important to him.

Don't read too much into this guys. Bale's agent and PR machine working overtime. Basically they know it is unlikely most interested clubs can afford his wages so putting pressure on Real to subsidise his salary heavily to get any potential move through. The article can be interpreted as: pay me to go or I'll happily sit tight and pick up my money.

£10 million loan deal doesnt seem too bad... if real picked up his wages. If i was Levy i'd tell real take that or forget it. Every club but Real is in the driving seat.
Its even possible bale will still be at madrid come the close of the window cos noone wants the wage bill. But i'm betting this will need moving to the lets laugh at manure thread.

I don't think he's gonna let Madrid dictate where he goes. If he doesn't want to leave, he wont. And if he does, it'll be where he wants to go, and on his terms.

Shouldn't this Bale bollocks
be in the transfer nonsense
where I'm not permitted to read it?.

I think this load of old cobblers
will run and run

unlike poor Gareth
most of the time.

This is not a poem

Spot on. He’s got nothing to prove to anyone. Nice lifestyle, light duties, big money. #winning How motivated will he be to be put through his paces by Pochettino on a cold, wet Enfield morning at this point in his career when he can live like a prince in the sun?

I don't think Bale really is happy to not be playing, and I think he loves to play in the CL. Him returning to Tottenham has never been off the table. For me, I'd offer Real 0 in loan fee and 40-50% of his salary paid in arrears. To him, I'd make a separate deal consisting only of bonuses for hitting certain targets to keep him on his toes.

If Bale doesn't understand that his time at Real M. is so over then I'd be questioning his IQ ... and motivation if he was "forced" to join Spurs.
Zidane has made it very clear that Bale is not in his plans (he was not even included in the match-squad last game Real M. played). Why can't Bale and his agent at least admit that and realize that there is life even after Real M. and move on

He may well understand but he’s hardly going to gladly walk away from his lucrative contract is he. If I were in his position I’d be holding out for the best deal, not giving RM the upper hand by saying “yep times up I’ll go” Fuck that, I’ve a contract that states you’ll pay me £Xm for the next couple of years that I’m not likely to see again. Pay up and I’ll go”

I am well aware that his agent - and Bale - are playing the right cards by saying to the press that Bale's desire is to remain at Real M. while knowing that his days at Real M. are numbered. And one can't blame him for still wanting to be part of such a club either. But I don't think he'll walk away with much losses - if at all - should he leave (but then I do not know if Real M. are up to some "trickery" regarding his salary should he leave). There will be some suitors with money for sure, although I am less sure whether Man Utd - after the Sanchez flop - are willing to pay another astronomic salary to a once-up-on world class player. And Chelski looks likely have a transfer ban imposed on them.
Thing is - according to Marca - Real M. will have him play in their Uner 23 team should he refuse to move...

which in turn makes me very cautious about a sentimental return...
