I took my Mum out for a meal and went to see ‘A Complete Unknown’ (great film)!

I didn’t think about Tottenham once, until I just read the last 4 pages of this thread. It sounds like I missed a cracker..

In years gone by I would never have booked something else on the evening of our games. Those days are gone.
You aren't alone in that mate. I started to do similar in the last days of Jose and then Conte as well.
I've a free gaff on Sunday for the match but I've actually already bought paint and will spend the few free hours getting some painting done rather than spend time watching us get outplayed, out fought and out thought by Bournemouth.

As AZ only scored one goal and that was an OG I’m not sure what difference they would have made tonight when our biggest problem was a lack of a goal threat.
Play your best team in the most important matches. If they aren’t fit to start then they shouldn’t be on the bench

All too predictable, still think we will win over the 2 legs, but it’s still not good enough at this stage. Over 60% of the ball with just one shot on target.

It’s the stubborn insistence on continuing to do the same things even though it’s obvious they’re not working that does my head in. The continual play out from the back & take every free kick short, even on a “tricky” pitch with AZ pressing is hard. The inverted fb’s which never seemed comfortable to give us any advantage & leave us woefully short at the back.
Would it be so criminal to just once in a while change it, take a long free kick or goal kick to put some doubt in the opposition. As it is they know exactly what we’re doing & can counter it with ease. And as for our so called press, it’s so uncoordinated I don’t think we turned it over once yesterday.

Hopefully I can still post here..

A small look at the match from an AZ fan. We played at our best, and I was quite disappointed in Tottenham. It seemed like AZ was the one that had just over a week of rest. It's a pity for us that it ended only 1-0, although I had predicted that beforehand 😜

I expect a better Tottenham next week, and I hope for the same AZ, then we are not without a chance. Hopefully, all injuries will not be too significant, although I wouldn't mind if Solanke has just too much trouble to make it for next week. It will definitely be exciting!
We’re fucking shit mate.

Looks like Maddison and Son are done

Yep.

This is our 'Leadership group' - Captain and vice captain no less - openly criticising what we can all see in front of our eyes which is a fundamentally flawed system.

Not suggesting they aren't a problem themselves in their application but nevertheless, it's damning on Ange coming from Maddison.

They are massive parts of the problem, especially Maddison as Son has a huge amount of goodwill built up, so pretty ironic if he's giving out considering how poor he has been for us

Who has played consistently well under Ange?

I'm not disagreeing with you they are part of the problem, but I would like to see these players under a competent manager before we make any real choices

We look so much better when both are not on the pitch. We just missed Kulusevski in CM last night.

I am sure it was said during the match that we just don't move the ball quick enough especially in the final third. We are too slow and predictable.

Obviously the biggest issue is at board leve but I put a lot of where we are on Ange but Maddison has been such a disappointment. Leicester fans warned us he would be great 1/3 of season, injured for 1/3 and missing for 1/3. We havnt even had the great for 1/3. Yes Ange can be partly to blame for that but Maddison needs to look at himself for his inconsistency. Every game that goes by hes just proving his doubters right

I Missed the last 5 mins so didn't see our only shot on target, was it a decent chance? Did we do anything in last 5 mins plus injury time?
It was a mis-hit cross.

I held my 12 year old son and we wept...our eyes had never seen such beauty.

No chance. What would be the point. Not going down, not getting CL. We don't have a divine right to win anything. People forget how difficult it is to win trophies. Not many cups, but a lot of top teams competing for them. He'll be here at least til the end of the season. And he should be. Honestly, fans are so bi-polar. Win one week it's "I can see the progress, we're so good when it clicks". play poorly in one game and people lose their minds.
I’ve been on the fence with him for months. So that narrative of being bi-polar is total bs.

if the discontent gets louder ( in stadium, and people boo all his decisions, like subs etc) 100% levy will pull the trigger.
Doesn’t matter if we’re not going down, or not getting Europe etc. levy has form for it.

I don't really have an issue with that, he's a good squad option and he has been better than suggested than some this season.

We do need a top class 10
