Tottenham defender Serge Aurier has snubbed a move to Spartak Moscow after holding talks. Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has given the green light for the right-back, 27, to leave after the summer signing of Matt Doherty from Wolves.

Spartak are a cracking club with a brilliant atmosphere and the city is bustling. Except not now it isn't. Moscow in the winter and under lockdown? No thanks. And if you don't fancy the racism in Italy, it's a depressingly similar story in Russia.

The guy is a highly competent player performing to an absolute PL standard. He does not need to put his career down a dead end street.

He came across as a great guy during the Amazon series and I agree, I think that he's certainly decent backup.

Probably going to end up staying at this point. Rose, CCV, Foyth out doesn’t allow us room to buy non HG. Have to think we need to sell Sissoko, Lucas or Lamela to buy non HG
