I wouldn't have called the performance impressive though of course I recognise the contribution to the goals. I don't think he had much to be concerned about defensively and was allowed to concentrate on what he did in the opositions half.

It certainly was impressive in the context of our other RB options; he was strong particularly in the first half when our our pressing was comparable to two or three seasons ago. He won many balls by his aggressive stance; he was always on the front foot. Two assists (if you count the OG). Winning headers, intimidating the opposition, always an outlet, rarely passing sideways/backwards, refreshing compared to the lethargic, sideways-passing Trippier and KWP. Hopefully Poch can motivate him and he can become part of a solid back four/five. He will always be a liability/accident waiting to happen but if coaching can minimise these, he can can make RB his own.

Aurier was so much better than KWP, Foyth at RB and showed what a good RB brings.

Shame he just comes across like a tool. Refer comments that he wanted to leave and Inter were in for him.

It is crazy to think that we may need to replace our entire first choice back 4 next summer.

I hope DL knows what he is doing.
