I was rehearsing at Levon Helm’s barn in Woodstock NY, and I missed the end of the game by about 5mins. I knew we’d scored a goal as i had checked my phone earlier, but when I checked after I couldn’t believe it! Our singer is a Liverpool fan, so that made for an interesting evening.

Nice place to be wow ! Whats the name of your band ?

I switched off at 80mins and was doing a pee and heard the neighbours cheering and clapping and then rushed and turned the tv back on. I was still thinking that VAR would disallow it.

Yeah me too. Everyone else in our small group in the pub was going mental, but I was just holding my breath till it was 100% sure.
Then I caught up with them :)

Lying in bed watching it on my IPad (middle of the night in SEA). A reflective contemplative reaction for some weird reason. The true meaning of life, the existence of God, the reason for human life. Like "These things are not meant to happen to Tottenham Hotspur, there must be a greater reason for the sequence of events that we are witnessing."

Live in Australia so the game kicked off at 5am.

Was in the office from 4:30am to ensure I could watch the whole game.

I let out a bit of scream when the third goal went in then sat there shaking for about half an hour coming to terms with what had just happened.

Was a happy day at work that one ?

I'd been moaning earlier in the day that I had spent the last two weeks moving like an old man in account of a broken rib I got playing footy. I watched it in my living room with the wife who gets very stressed watching me watch the game.

Anyway, had totally given up and wad just sitting there depressed. And when it went in I moved, I fucking moved like a crazy person. Rebroke that rib, don't know how, but didn't notice for a while. Didnt care either. What a night.

I watched on the telly in my study until half time.

I then switched to the radio while I had a shower and heard goals one and two.

I took my time, didn’t invest, was nice and sedate about it. Still on the radio.

Once I was dressed I went back to the study to watch.

I just sat there all sedate. I wasn’t going to get my hopes up or start willing them on or anything. No, I was too shrewd for that game.

Even when Superjan hit the bar, I didn’t react. I was all, ‘yeah, OK’

And then THAT goal...

I exploded. I was jumping about my study (which is pretty small) hollering and screaming like a schoolboy. While it was going on there was a tiny part of my brain thinking the neighbours were going to call the police if I kept on, but I didn’t care.

And then I sat and wept.

Live in Australia so the game was 3am for myself, was actually on a surf trip 4 hours from where I live, sitting in a freezing tent streaming off one bar of service, phone ran out of charge at half time almost considered packing it in and crying myself to sleep, instead sat out the back of my mates car charging my phone in about 2 degrees, fair to say when that third went in he thought I was being attacked as he heard about 10 minutes of yes yes yes, followed by about 15 minutes of sobbing, cracked a beer at 5.15am then proceeded to have to surf about an hour later, didn't catch much but was having more fun than anyone else out there that's for sure!

I've got the BT Sport app on my mobile and watched both legs of the Dortmund tie on it as my local showed the Liverpool game. Also watched the first leg of the City tie the same way. As I'd gone to the pub for the first leg of the semi-final I decided that superstition dictated I watch the second leg on the mobile.

Sat in the dining room with the kids in bed and the wife in the sitting room watching some shite on the tv.

She comes in for a drink at half-time and gives me the "never mind, it's only a game" talk when I told her the score.

Lucas scores the first two and I manage to keep quiet but fist pump like a wanking chimp.

The winner goes in and I let out what the wife described as a "blood curdling" scream. She wanders in see what's happening and finds me on my knees, half under the dining table, with the phone on the floor in front of me.

I'm whispering "blow the fucking whistle" over and over at the phone and she's stood there tutting and giving me the "why don't you get that excited about anything other than football" speech.

Anyway, final whistle goes and I have tears in my eyes so Buzz Killington disappears back to the sitting room shaking her head while I take in what's happened.

Looking back now her disdain actually made the whole moment even better. She doesn't get it, she'll never get it but frankly, I don't care.

I was on my way home from work. Driving on the interstate and listening to it in my car. When that goal went in I almost veered my car into another car I was pumping my fists and tearing up. The other drivers probably thought I was crazy!

I was at the Ajax stadium- but i enjoyed the videos of everyone celebrating around the world. My favourite was a guy in his sitting room on his own going nuts- it really didn't matter where you were or who you were with- it was amazing everywhere!

Long-time lurker. Probably only posted once before? Anyway I was watching the game on probably the worst stream ever which froze again at about 94:50 I guess. Next thing I know stream comes back. Poch is on his hands and knees on the pitch. My first reaction is the final whistle has gone, we have drawn 2-2 and Poch is despondent at going out. Stream freezes again, comes back and freezes on an image of Rose, (with a beaming smile) standing in the middle of two other Spurs players. I still haven't twigged - thinking he is happy that we gave it a good go. Stream freezes again, comes back and an Ajax player is lying face down on the pitch. Still at this stage think he must just be relieved at result. Next image is Spurs players running into the corner, Still finding it hard to fathom why cos surely we ran out of time. Next time screen comes back and I notice the score, punch the air and shout at the screen for the ref to blow his whistle! Surreal.

only just woke up, did we win

okay I lied, but it was too late to post what really happen:cautious: though reading these post, I think my heart has been stolen for many years now. I can watch a sad film and ball my eyes out, yet I've still not shed a tear on my second home as a youngster. if I wasn't at home I'd be at WHL watching 1st team, reserves (until old enough to start going away games) and any youth matches, remember seeing players like Hoddle and Neil McNab come through. Might of been different if I'd been there for the final match, but nope not a single drop:(

When I can't go to games I watch the BT games on a stream via the TV in my bedroom, and because of it freezing I usually 2-3 mins behind real time.

I consider my wife to be the biggest jinx, so she is banned from seeing me over the match including halftime, in fact I ban everyone from even coming near me. well at halftime I went through my usual thing, 1st a cig outside the front door, then a loo break. the friggin light bulb never worked, so 2-0 down I gave up and said to the wife can you get me a new bulb. it didn't matter we are going out.

I then popped into see my daughter to tell her "No Madrid we are playing Shit", then my son and told it was all his fault, and back upstairs to watch the 2nd half.

so when Moura gets the 1st, I started to come back to life signing amora (that old song), when the 2nd went in I was then on a knife edge praying, while singing amora. heart sunk when Jan hit the bar, then cleared off the line and time was running low. when Llorente put the ball over the bar I thought "game over" the ref will blow.

just as the ref was booking the keeper I heard my daughter running up the stairs screaming "have we won!", to which I replied "have we scored", she said yes then the ball hit the net and I just went numb. My son ran up excited, and then the wife showed up claiming she wasn't a jinx, though the game was still showing, it was officially over.

was just over joyed cuddled my daughter, and started to work of a way of getting to Madrid without a ticket, but still no tears:(

Watched the game in a bar just outside of Milan (away on business) Was the only supporter running around like a mad man when Lucas scored our 3rd. And of course the only Spurs supporter in the bar. Happy memory :)

Been trying to forget about the final for a few days, for the sake of my sanity and family. Just read through a few pages of this thread and I'm crying again. Thank you for validating my obsession, you mad bunch of bastards. We're gonna do it you know!

Yes. After Drogba put them 1-0 up it didn't look good, but Berbatov pulled it bag with a cool penalty finish and then Woodgate scored with a flukey header in extra time. It was marvellous.

Makes me happy being here, reading all the anecdotes.
I was watching a stream on the mobile whilst laying on the bed, unfortunately fell asleep after about 40 minutes.
I'd just been signed off work a few days before for depression, through stress and anxiety in the workplace, having been sent to the company doc as my bosses thought I was acting the maggot, so my head and body kinda gave up.

I woke at 3.16am to a phone full of messages and a huge sense of frustration for the circumstances for missing one of the best moments in my 32 years supporting Spurs.
Managed to fall back asleep for an hour before getting up to find any highlights I could!
Anyway, it's good to share, apparently.
Not looking for sympathy ? just a win in the final ?

At home watching on my phone as my Chromecast gave up working for the evening. Typically it game back after the game.

I was on the edge of my seat. I ran around the sitting room. Ran around the kitchen. Managed to dial my dad's phone number and asked him to talk me through the final 2 minutes as I couldn't cope being 30 seconds behind, convinced we were going to concede.

Obviously, at the moment Lamela tried the nutmeg and he shouted what have you done at Lamela I assumed Spursy but then he shouted Sissoko's gonna score!

In the midst of it all I looked up to see my missus at the top of the stairs bulling at me for waking her and our 6 year old.

Honestly it took me about 2 hours after the game to be able to even sit down.

I was in the away end. During injury time I always put a stopwatch on my phone, and I was in the process of turning it off as I didn't think we had time for another attack. I looked up as Llorente brought the ball down and everything after that is a blur. I have a vague recollection of rocking on the floor in front of my seat in the foetal position in a tearful daze, it was absolute madness and chaos.
It’s not just me then!
Nope, me too!
