over here you either have Sky, BT, talktalk, or virgin. not all packages tie in with BT Sport which cost a fair bit unless your with them for phone and broadband, so you have to find other means

I literally cannot believe a game of this magnitude wouldn't be available free, to anyone with a telly. Or I guess I can believe it...

What a fuckin' world...

I was on the edge of my coffee table and when the ball went in I flung myself to me knees in front of the TV with arms outstretched much like Willem Defoe just before he dies in Platoon.

On Sofa.
Had a couple of guys over (Frankfurt fans) and we were lamenting through the whole first half how poor Spurs were.

By half time they were going to go home as they were exhausted anyway, but we decided to have a couple more beers together and see if the first 15mins it showed any kind of improvement.

We were encouraged by a few early chances, but when Dele’s half volley was saved I did wonder if it would be “one of those nights”. I’ve felt for a while we’ve not been clinical enough in the league and wondered if it was going to be the same here.

Wife joined just before first Lucas goal as she usually quite likes the big games, though often falls asleep, not this time though.

Like many on here the first goal celebration was more of a fist pump and a “come on”. Frankfurt Friends were at least suddenly more interested and after the second the beers were in full flow and the excitement up.

We had all but given up of course when Llorente headed over at the death, but I was begging for one more chance and when it went it I went nuts on the sofa jumping up and down and laughing. Half crying.

Wife asked me to quieten down a little because of the kids sleeping and my two friends were in shock and happy for me of course. They have warned that if they come over for the final they have to support Liverpool because of Klopp (that’s the German mentality here).

I Stayed up until 2 watching every replay on DAZN then on YouTube to hear the British commentators and see the reaction in the studio etc... loved it and loved showing my eldest son the extended highlights the next day. Didn’t tell him we had won just watched him go through the emotions and had a god old celebratory hug when he saw we had won.

Hope for more of the same on the 1st. Though with the exception of 1 Bayern fan I have, anyone else I invite over will all be for Liverpool because either they always liked Liverpool anyway or/and because if Klopp, who many are being the next Germany manager and as such want to see him do well in his club career.

they are trying to work round it, via showing it on youtube link, but only if you have a smart TV, so helping those on the dole from scouse land who don't do a bit of cash in hand to buy their 60inch smart tv's and haven't worked a day in their lives OFFICIALLY:cautious:

I've been meaning to find the time to post this for a while. My firstborn son arrived on the day of the match at 4:40pm London time by c-section, and I spent the next two hours with him and recovering mama. We transferred to a postpartum room about 45 minutes before kickoff and I was able to get a quality stream going on my laptop in the corner of the room. Blissed out and high on endorphins, I watched it with the sound off until Lucas's first goal, at which point the doctors came in and we were involved in conversations about caring for our newborn, my wife's health and so on. I was still getting texts and kept walking over to my laptop (which was facing the window, away from everyone else) to check on what was happening. When it went into time added on, I was checking every 30 seconds, watching snippets, until I'd just about given up. Next time I looked, it was to see a pile of green players in ecstasy in the corner of the pitch. In the circumstances, I had to scream in joy on the inside only. Mates wanted us to name the boy Lucas, which was seriously tempting. The timing was quite unbelievable, and he'll always have the story that he was born just a couple hours before one of the greatest nights in Tottenham's history.

I was at a hotel in Orlando, FL with a bottle of wine I started downing after Ziyech's goal. By the time Moura struck, I was 3/4 in and yelled HOLY FUCKING SHIT at the top of my lungs more times than I can remember!

My response was total silence for a few seconds, followed by loud choking sounds caused by the cigar butt I'd just inhaled.

Huge congratulations.

Great that you can be honest with him and tell him the day he was born was one of the greatest days of your life too. ;)

In a casino in Southend watching it with a Man City fan as both of us down for work! Started laughing at it as couldn't believe what had happened.

Please tell me that 3/4 is not 3 quarters and me and 3 to 4 bottles!

When the third Moura goal went in after screaming yeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssss, I ran around the room shouting "Fuck you Liverpool, anything you can do we can do better " several times before remembering that I've got a Liverpool fan as a next door neighbour and we will be playing them in the final ???

I was in my living room having sent my eldest to bed at half time... When the final goal went in, I made a sound that Whitney could even hit... Shirt went off... Whilst screaming we have done it.. Before charging up the stairs and launched myself on my nine year old son whilst he was sleep... Screaming..... We HAVE Done It!!! I grabbed his head and he finally opened his eyes to be found lobbed over my shoulder running back downstairs in the living room shouting to him... YOU ain't missing this!

What I didn't realise was the Mrs was taking pictures of me through the whole second half and I looked like an utter knob!

Managed to find a bar in Kings Cross showing the game with a couple of mates who aren’t really into football but they liked the atmosphere in the World Cup so wanted to come along.

Ended up being between a group of Ajax fans and a group of South Koreans (SK). First half was devastating as the atmosphere was low, mates were just chatting about this being why they don’t really ‘get’ the fuss over ‘normal football’ games. The Ajax fans cheered the goals and thought it was job done but were conscious of not over celebrating.

First goal back was more of a consolation cheer / getting some anger out growling “come on we can still do this” by the second goal belief hit me, I lept up and started jumping around with the SK’s (they love a high five  ) the Ajax guys started shuffling nervously while my mates were more entertained by my reaction.

That final half hour was torture though. I went through every emotion and by the time Llorente had headed over and Jan had hit the bar I’d accepted our fate. We’d given it a go and not gone out with a whimper.

I could see the pity in my mates eyes (they were having a great time by now). Then that moment... it fell to Dele, he flicked it around the corner, Lucas just got to it and the ball rolled so slowly just beyond the reach of the keeper and the place went mental... I launched myself into the SK’s, they were screaming with joy hugging me and jumping around. Turned to my mates screaming in disbelief and then the shock just hit me that we were nearly there.

I went silent, hands on side of my head with what they’ve described as the human version of the ‘scream’, everything went numb and I couldn’t take it in, it was too much something had to go wrong, something ALWAYS goes wrong, this just doesn’t happen to us.

The Ajax guys next to us were also in shock head in hands, I put my hand on the one next to me’s shoulder and said “I’m so sorry”. That final two mins felt like an eternity shouting at them to “kick it” giving a cheer any time we did. By the final whistle I just dropped into my seat while everyone celebrated around me unable to believe we were into the final of the Champions League.

Was at home watching on iPad, I was in total shock when the winner was scored, don't think I even breathed until the final whistle.

Then the WhatsApp messages started to flood in
