Alone in my living room, wife had long since gone to bed, had believed we’d do it up until Llorente’s header looped over the bar. At that point all the tension in me dissipated and I was finally unwinding when Sissoko booted it forward. I fully expected the whistle, it didn’t come, somehow the ball ended up in front of Lucas and as his left footed shot went towards the corner it felt as if tome had slowed. I didn’t react straight away as I couldn’t quite tell what side of the post the ball had gone, and the BT camera man must’ve knocked his stands in disbelief as the picture seemed to switch to the fans. Then within seconds it was back on our celebrating players, and I realised. I jumped out of my seat, screamed in delight then realised it wasn’t quite the last kick, rang my father who was watching it from north London and we agonised together for those final moments.

At home. Woke the kids up with my yelps throughout the second half. Shaking with nerves and adrenaline by the end, I figured that Vertonghen's double chance was all we were going to get. Then I thought Llorente high header was it. And then the ball ended up down our end of the pitch and I was certain that was it. And then Sissoko sent it forward and 5 seconds later I was out of my seat in shock.

The next two minutes are a blur. I've watched the highlights and listened to the commentary again and again, and it's just... a blur. Eight Ajax players on the line. Lamela's mania. Forward, into the corner... And then I'm on my feet again, yelling loud enough to wake the kids again... and I'm still not sure it's real, even two weeks later.

I have no idea how I'll cope if we actually win.

I was meant to be watching it over my bros with the rest of the family but got stuck on a train coming out of London and missed the first ten mins! In the end went over to my neighbours house to watch it with him and his son who are also both Spurs fans!

When Lucas scored the winner, all 3 of us went absolutely mental and i was running around his house like a madman all the while their dog was chasing me and trying to bite me as it obviously thought I was angry! All in all, amazing emotions with only one dog bite (and a sizeable bruise) to the hand!

I was on the way back from a business pitch that determined whether or not my company would land a massive client that I couldn’t get out of. I sat in the back of a car (long drive with rush hour traffic), listening and watching on my headphones. My coworker who drove said, “You’ve been grunting and stomping. What the f is going on?” I responded, “You’ll never understand the amount of useless energy I put into sports with a return on investment of pure disappointment. My teams always reinvent cruel ways of losing. I’m watching them get so close after being down.... OMG! OMG! WTF! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! PLEASE NO VAR! WHAT IS HAPPENING! OMG! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

and what was that experience like ? how did the 3 react ?
Ossie and Ricky were fairly modest, probably because they were surround by Ajax fans more so. They were sat behind me, very happy of course at the end and chatty to Spurs fans stopping them at the gangways.

Clive though, what a legend! Speaking to him was like we had known each other for years and he was just so chilled, as was his Wife. Until we started scoring! SCENES!

He is so passionate, his wife even apologised ha! I simply said how can he not be with this team doing what they are doing and that we are filled with energy from this game. He gives his fair share of banter back to Ajax fans too along with the rest of us. We must have had 50+ beers thrown at us during the game when celebrating goals.

To be fair to Ajax fans it stopped there, it could have been worse in another ground or maybe in other areas of the stadium.

Stadium was rocking from the start, my favourite DJ Armin Van Buuren blasting out on the screens and speakers before kick off, a mental mini rave to gear up the crowd! The devastation of the first half the beauty of the second. The sensation and disbelief of the 95th minute, my view below - I had to take the picture as I never wanted to forget visually or mentally. It was so surreal, time stood still. I didn’t celebrate like I usually do 1. Because I may have got killed and 2. I was in shock - it was like a different dimension or something, I couldn’t comprehend what had happened, my whole day was madness and within 24 hours of leaving home, on a ferry, to our Amsterdam Head Office and to that game. I still can’t stop watching the highlights

I think the last time I went that mental was when Lineker scored his second to put us 3-1 up in the 91 semi-final against the goonscum. That was a special father-son moment with my dad.

The Lucas winner was also a special father-son moment with my own son this time. Screaming, shouting, dancing almost fainting, with our dog running to the lounge to hide under the table.

Win or lose in Madrid nobody can take away that moment.

My old man shouted "AHH HE'S PUT IT WIDE!!" which dampened the celebrations for a brief moment.:ROFLMAO:

In the pub along with 60 other uni mates at our football social. All those rival fans giving me loads of stick at HT and getting beer poured all over me after 95:01. Celebrated with a load more alcohol and ended up with a 2 day hangover with no regrets. Even my friends that support teams from all over the country were rooting on spurs after our first, even joined in calling Erik Lamela "Pr*ck" for trying to ruin our chances by dribbling out from the back with seconds left.

had finished playing football and was in biershanke near Moorgate for kick off swigging back the steins.

at half time I made the decision to start walking home. Saw the first goal go in as I was walking past the William Blake at old st.

popped in to see the replay where of course we then scored the second. Que buying a pint I didn't need before getting into a round for more pints I didn't need.

Let a noise out like a cow being penetrated by a sperm whale when the third went in. We (my new random pals) and I stayed to watch the highlights with yet more pints I didn't need

I was a shambles at work the next day.

Am I getting this right that the match wasn't shown on national television in England? That you had to have some special hook up- otherwise had to watch it in a pub? What's with all the "bad stream" and "on my phone, a minute behind"-posts? Was this not just shown on every tv to everyone?

over here you either have Sky, BT, talktalk, or virgin. not all packages tie in with BT Sport which cost a fair bit unless your with them for phone and broadband, so you have to find other means
