I just loved Mourinho's reaction to Son's goal. Straight to business with Vertonghen. Loved the pragmatism, loved that it was Jan coming on.

I'm gonna catch a lot of heat for saying this I imagine, but isn't that how Kane plays and we applaud it as great hold up play? He constantly tries to get himself between the ball to get the opposition to foul him. If anything Kane could learn from Grealish as Kane telegraphs it too much in the box.

Obviously it's hard to take off my spurs tinted goggles but the way Grealish was throwing himself around today and that scream he gave in the first half for barely a touch, if Kane did that, I'd be embarrassed.

Lots of love for Grealish in this thread, but when it comes to showering affection on Villa players today, then I'm with Robbie Williams.

I'm loving Engels instead.

One of those classic games where we needed a win but it didn’t come easy. Unlucky own goal but Toby made amends and bagged the equalizer. Poor defending in the first 30 mins of the first half. Davies saved our asses. Son again scoring the late goal. GG

Awful at the back, Aurier in a four, and Sanchez on the ball is just scary. Incredibly wasteful up front as well, should of had ten. We play like that against RB, we're gonna be out the tie after just the first leg.

But there's nothing like a last minute winner :LOL:..........fucking COYS!!

Still think we have far too much dead weight up top, Moura was useless today.
He had one good run near the end when he seemed determined to make things happen, waltzed passed quite a few players but yet again couldn't or wouldn't find a final pass. Often he seems to dribble from far too deep and his finishing is variable. Perhaps some coaching could getting him take up the kind of positions that Salah takes up and those kind of runs.

That makes no sense, ndombele is consistently good when he's on the pitch

It's just not for very long

No he isn't. That's just fantasy.
He is good in spells. He was awful in his last start and often fades out of games very quickly.

Unless he ever plays and produced consistently he offers no value.

I so want to disagree but I can't.

So far at Spurs he's been a highlights reel player. Absolutely outstanding in moments but often a passenger.

That's the Beauty, i thought the same, especially after we started squandering loads of great chances, but this Spurs just keeps on giving, and I'm Loving it.
Speak to me after a loss and I might have a different outlook.
Looking past that, the games are just great spectacles. There's no lull. We've got 2 modes invite a shit ton of pressure or all out attack. It's fucking spectacular.
Even when we were winning under the great Mauricio, there were matches, especially against lesser teams, where it got boring because the result was almost a forgone conclusion.
Nowadays anyone can rock up and know they have a chance, so they actually play. No one comes to defend against us anymore.
I know it's all about winning nowadays, and i would love us to win a trophy, but there's a certain joie de vive about watching a game on the edge of your seat. I can't explain it.
I don't what I'm trying to say but I'm Loving Spurs atm.
I would rather win 2-0 and see the game out comfortably than win 3-2 or 4-3

At one point the radio Moura was taken down three times in 90 seconds and at the third one the commentator said in passing, Spurs get a free kick for the tackle on Moura, Grealish just keeps getting fouled!

shithoused v. refers to the act of a football team managed by Jose Mourinho (spec. Tottenham Hotspur) who deserve to lose any given game, against any given side by two clear goals, but who - inexplicably - score a winner in injury time despite not knowing what day of the week it is.

Thought Sanchez was a bit more assured today.
I thought he was good today, perhaps even very good. He read the danger as well as I've ever seen him do, was decisive in the tackle and didn't have a single one of his usual brainfarts. Did make one or two kinda sloppy clearances and played Grealish onside once, but overall a really promising performance.

Our third PL win in a row.

You wouldn’t guess that from looking on here
Probably because we’ve been outplayed in all of them.

our last good overall team performance was Liverpool which we lost ironically.

but winning form is good form so COYS!
