Fully deserved win that. By rights we should have been out of sight with the gilt edged chances we created, but no mistake about it, we deserved that win.

A lot to work on both offensively & defensively, that game was far too open, especially given the quality of opposition we was playing

I think Winks was fairly anonymous first half, and only really turned up when GLC came on. I think he looks far better when he has technical players around him.
Yeah as soon as Winks knew the pressure wasn't all on him and he had a partner who could actually retain possession and pass under pressure, he looked so much better. In general he's looked better in recent weeks when Lo Celso has been in the side.

Why does our club do this to us? I would love us to force our game, better quality on weaker teams from the start, rather then wait, let them get a head of steam and make it a contest. But this seems to be the Mourinho way.
Grealish is quality by the way. COYS!

Don’t understand how Bergwijn didn’t get at least a couple. Looking forward to seeing him on one wing and Fernandes on the other. Both strong and powerful runners and with an eye for goal.
It would have been tough on Bergwijn to play on the right but I really think Son needs to play on the left to get the best out of him.

There has been times where Kane has missed a bunch before scoring. Yes Son hasn't been great but he still scored 2 goals today.
He did, and I'm thrilled. Bad penalty that he got lucky. I truly love Son, but his form since he returned has been absolutely woeful, today, before he got the winner everyone was saying as much. I hope this helps his confidence. But he has not been playing well, including today.

*edit* We're used to seeing a Son that not only scores goals, but gets involved all over the pitch playing sublime football. So, maybe it is a bit harsh as I'm judging him by his own very high standards?

Really don't see how why this victory is lucky for some. We have 23 shots and 10 on targets ffs. Against Citeh we had 3 shots and 2 on targets and still won 2-0.. Perspective.

A win is a win, but we absolutely have to be more clinical in front of goal. I was almost expecting Son to hit the winner straight at Reina.
