Can we have a boring goalless half with no injuries please and go again Wednesday ?

First time in a while that our attacking unit has clicked which is encouraging. Shame about the complete shambles behind them. I'd get GLC or Ndombele on for Dier and let Winks play a more defensive role. We need some control of the ball in the middle.

I think his penalty made it easy for him

The thing is the way Son had run up to the ball - it was always going to the keepers left. The keepers right with the angle would have been super difficult. I agree, Reina would have read that

I've noticed Bergwijn very rarely wastes a pass, even if it's nothing special. Very good trait to have.

Yep, don't think he's been perfect and should have played the ball across to Son before he challenge for the pen came into him but he looks like a player who we'll be able to rely on to do the right thing more often than not. Something we severely lack with Son, Lucas and Dele.

Was a very good pass to Aurier earlier in the half too.

I think they are different. Dele is the one that tries the extravagant and when it comes off is great but when it doesn’t he looks rubbish. But without him trying that we lose creativity- love Grealish to be in same team. Dier and Aurier just make me nervous

Not sure you can carry them both though. We already have Son as a daydreamer when going backwards helping out. Grealish is tactically quite frustrating.

I’d take Lo Celso over both

I’m sorry but it’s not. He has made too many mistakes and does not command the box. I don’t normally post rubbish like that. He stays on the line too much and makes too many mistakes. I agree it sounds reactionary but I stand by it. Paolo always gathers well but it not the most athletic for the flying saves. I prefer him in goal
I disagree with the part about him staying on his line too much. I think he comes out and punches loads. Great sweeper keeper imo.

On the positives. Winks looking good again. Davies getting some minutes. Steve looks dangerous in space.

God I miss Harry Kane.

Harry does that stupid pigeon steps run up too
Not really. He does a thing right at the start of the run before he even starts moving, then he actually approaches the ball normally.

Momentum at the point of impact is the issue. It's just a lot harder to kick the ball hard if you stuttering right up to it.

Actually did not think he was good. He looks like he's young and adjusting. A few times I wish he had looked up etc. But I like what he's trying to do... And the other fwds have been poor (honorable mention for moura effort)

He does have a bit of composure about him which isnt that common for a speedy winger but then again he hasnt got rapid speed

I honestly just can’t wait till the day we see Lo Celso & N’Dombele in the same team, they offer us so much control in the middle

Maybe it's too early to say but there's signs Toby is going the same way as Vertonghen. He looks to have a lost a bit physically, very noticeable when Grealish skinned him and he's not the speediest bloke i've ever seen.
He was way out of position. He's slowed up but grealish was always gonna do him from there.
