I'm sure it's far too late to postpone it now but they could've and should've done it hours ago, looking at the state of the area around the ground. It's all very well and good having a drained pitch but you have to think about the punters getting to and from the match. Villa have already told everybody to get gone as soon as possible after the match.

Yes I totally agree. The only problem is we don't have the defensive-minded player to shackle him.

The player who has previously had success in getting in the face of the opposition's creative player is Dele. Grealish plays far enough back for us to put a non-defensive player on him. Also, we're not over-blessed with defensive midfielders and assigning a DM a man-marking task would just open up space for the rest of Villa's attacking players. A DM needs to be positional to be effective.

Would be pretty shitty to cancel it now as the teams are there, media’s there and fans are either there or on their way. When City called their match off last week it was done early enough that very few, if anyone, were there.
