Dele needs to up his game. Incredibly wasteful today. Over playing, not passing, missing straight forward finish's and generally being off the pace. We could have scored 3 or 4.
It's whenever he gets the ball now I'm just very rarely convinced he'll do the right thing and when he does it's a surprise. Such a frustrating player. And with that all said he'll probably score today.

Bergwijn excellent. Not as flashy as Lucas or Son but actually keeps the ball (a trait our front 4 badly needs). Played a couple of lovely balls through and protected the ball well for the pen as well.
Agree, we've got to many head down individualistic players in the lineup Moura, Son and Dele who just want to do it all themselves and don't want to pass! We need more providers and creators in this lineup.

That was a shit pen. I hate it when players wait for the goalie. Just smash the ball in the corner ffs. We should just bring on Kane for pens.

There is sooo much space to exploit. Lo Celso or Ndombele would absolutely ruin them with their passing. We should make the change at half time.

Swap Dele for Grealish and we’d be 4-1 up.

Hate saying it, but he’s a much better footballer than Dele is.
He does the simple stuff so much better. Dele is capable of the truly sublime but fucks up constantly by playing as if the simple stuff is beneath him.

You could honestly make an hour long compilation of Alli trying to nutmeg players in a promising position mid-way inside the opposition half only to play it off their legs and give the ball away.

We've grown into the game, we've needed to.

Hopefully we can control it a bit more now.

Great to see Davies back and I'm absolutely loving how intelligent Steve B is.

Bergwijn has been quality, some lovely runs and a great weight of pass to Aurier for the corner.

They are there to be hit on the break, need Ndombele on in second half to release us quickly.

I've noticed Bergwijn very rarely wastes a pass, even if it's nothing special. Very good trait to have.

Absolute fucking chaos out there.

Alright conditions are tricky and you have to allow for that, we've also been against the strong wind first half it looked like, but lets be honest we were absolutely not at the races for the first 25-30 mins and could quite easily have been three or four down. It was horrendous stuff and the right side of the team in defence (sometimes Dier, almost always Aurier and Alderweireld) in particular were, and largely have been, atrociously bad.

We started getting glimpses of how open Villa were and that you could easily get at them, then equaliser came all of a sudden from the set piece, since then the momentum has gone to us and those glimpses went to confirmation that Villa were pants down, bent over, and asking for it. Then it was our turn to have quite easily scored three or four. Eventually got, and just about bundled in, the penalty.

I wouldn't like to predict the result if both teams come out in the same manner second half. I'd hope we can at least have a more solid platform and defensive effort, whilst we look to exploit the big holes in their defence.

This team is just too frustrating to watch at this point. We really need a complete overhaul of our backline. A Sunday league team are capable tearing our defence down

Not gonna lie, I'm enjoying watching us more than I have for a long time. You just never know what you're gonna get. It's fucking exciting.

Mourinho's tactic of having Aurier playing as a winger is such a shit tactical move. Creating so many problems for us on the right.

We need to persevere with alli. It's no accident that he gets himself in goalscoring positions. He is just bang out of form with his finishing
