Did he injure himself in the QPR game? He's been very quiet on Twitter recently, think there's some chance he's been one of Harry's dissentors?

I think Kaboul being out for the season is worse news. But yea, it sucks.

Even so, if we get our act together we should be winning our remaining games, with Ekotto or without.

Time for you to stake a claim on a future at THFC, young Mr. Rose. Think he'll do alright myself, accepting the odd miastake, maybe even a real clanger thrown in.

Good luck.

In fairness, Rose stepped up last year and was more than admirable in BAE's absence.

As AJ says, Kaboul out though is a complete fucking nightmare and it means we will be living on our nerves with a combination of Gallas, King and Nelsen.

Actually I think Benni has had a few poor games and looked like he needed time out anyway. And I think rose is more than capable to come in and do a job. He did well before and I think he will again.

I think we are gonna hear about some more players being "out with injury" for the rest of the season.

If only we had a youngish CB who, when given regular games showed real form and played a part in our top 4 campaign. /scratches head

Ah well, I assume Nelsen is still on both legs? Maybe we'll see the Bongani unleashed.

I would rather Bale at left back.....at least that way he may stay on the left. We need to win the last 4 games and at the moment are far too easy to predict how to play against. Something like Bale at left back would throw our opponents game plans out. Playing 2 of Parker/Sandro/Livermore to cover him bombing forward may work.

For the first time in years, i really can't wait for this season to be over.

Both Benny and Kaboul are going to be a big miss

Good point that. Something to think about.

As others have said, Rose did pretty well stepping up to being LB before so lets hope he can do it again.

Kaboul said on Twitter last Friday that he expected to be back in training this week, so I hope to see him against Blackburn on Sunday

We just need to get our act together as a team on the pitch for the rest of the season - btw what is the source for Assou Ekotto being out ?

Even, dare I suggest it, 4-4-2 with Modric wide left, he'll drop more central and let Bale overlap. Then, like you say, 2 DM to cover our paper-thin defense.

Something like;

Friedel
Walker Gallas King Bale
Parker Sandro
Lennon VdV Modric
Adebayor
Interesting, but I think defensively we will get raped - especially down that left flank.

I'm guessing we opted for a negligible loan fee rather than the option of recalling Caulker... Or Bassong, for that matter...

Which actually may not be a bad idea...

As long as Redknapp doesn't let him swap around with Walker during the match if the defending isn't quite going right...

Oh God, recalling Caulker in January...and yeah, good old Bambi on ice. Yes, he's a bit limited but he's shown he can do a job when needed. Depending on his CB partner of course.
