If Lloris were to leave then Begovic would be a superb replacement. With his contract running down we would still have a massive amount of money to spend from the Lloris transfer. The downside is we either won't spend it or we'll spend it on more mediocre nothingness like Chadli, Stambouli, and Floppio.

I would actually be fairly comfortable with Lloris leaving and bringing in Begovic plus some funds. He's damn consistent.

Seriously though, haven't we tried the 'replace player because we can get someone just as good and use the funds' idea a couple of times already. And it doesn't seem to work,.. ever..

Carrick - Zamora Zokora
Modric - Dembele
Bale - Lamela

etc etc

Was just about to post the exact same thing. Stop selling our best players and replacing them with average ones.

Zamora was never going to work in central midfield.

Yes, but you can't look away from the what if scenario if he still does leave. End of the day, I would take Begovic to replace Lloris over most other keepers that I suspect Levy would be interested in.

Did he not throw his toys out of the pram when another goalkeeper was having a medical at the same time.

Most people who follow Spurs know very well that Carrick, Modric and Bale FORCED themselves to leave Spurs so there was no question of selling them simply to fund the purchase of other players. They simply had to be sold. If Levy would have had it his way all 3 of them would still have been at Spurs.

Mustn't let the truth get in the way of an opportunity to moan.

For the latter two that might be true, but regardless, we should be doing everything we can to stop Lloris going rather than looking at it as a sell-for-big-money-and-replace scenario
