That's a shame, bye then.

Ok, if you gonna keep at it... this is you on Ndombele on the 15th of July before he had ever played a game for us:
Him and Ndombele in midfield together this season is gonna be a madness.

So, the arguments you just had against Pepe doesn't count for Ndombele because you were the one who said it?

Even though Standard Liege, Nott Forest and pre-season games is not the defining metric to judge a player's true ability nor potential, it is clear that Martinelli is a talent at 18 years of age. The fact that he hasn't played in the league so far isn't very strange when Arse's strikers are injury free at the moment and cannot be held against him.

There's levels to this.

How can you even compare Pepe to Ndombele :ROFLMAO: What potential outside of the CL has Pepe shown?

I'm not comparing the two players, I just showed the complete hypocrisy of your own statements. You cannot have it both ways. Of course, you're not big enough to admit it.

This is you on the 7th of August on Pepe in the Sissoko thread:
I think they've already got their winger sorted in Pepe so that's unlikely.

At least you're living up to your nickname on here.

I've been wrong about loads of stuff in the past and time will tell if I will turn out to be wrong about Martinelli but I'm not gonna be a hypocrite about it if I do turn out to be wrong. The boy has just scored 4 goals in his last 2 'games.

Both Aubameyang and Lacazette weren't setting the league alight in their first seasons either. Other great players like Drogba and Essien the same. I was wrong about Kane and had to post a will eat crow post in 2015 in his player thread. I had to make another in 2017 just because of how badly wrong I felt about writing him off so early in his career. Will you do the same if Pepe turns it around? Doubt it very much judgling by the replies in this thread.

So let me get this straight...you're attempting to bring up some comments I made and take them completely out of context just to prove I'm some kind of hypocrite? How incredibly desperate do you have to be to get one over on me :ROFLMAO:

Now this time please read it in the context it's meant to be read in.

Selling Iwobi for that kind of money might even encourage them to go back with an improved offer for Zaha.

I think they've already got their winger sorted in Pepe so that's unlikely.

What the fek does this have to do with a price of fish? lol

If you think Martinelli is a 'great talent' for scoring in pre season and against a crap Europa League team then that's up to you but I'm not following the hype. I refuse to get carried away like some 13 year old Arsenal fan and suddenly think that Martinelli is going to be some sort of wonder kid, if he proves me wrong I'll hold my hands up but he'll have to do a lot more to convince me about his potential...mainly playing and showing signs of progression in bigger matches on a consistent basis, that's how you tend judge young players fella.

Pepe is a great example by the way, great in Ligue 1 but so far struggling in the Prem whilst Ndombele is starting to look decent so my prediction is entirely justified.

Also seeing as you seemingly have 1st degree honours in using the search function why don't you bring up the posts where I've admitted I've been wrong seeing as I'm not big enough to ad. It it or some bullshit like that...here's a couple:

Well played son, I doubted you before the match happy to say I was wrong.

Wasn't convinced by him before these 2 matches but he's proving me wrong, hope he keeps it up.

Whilst our result and performance against Bayern after the first 30 minutes was lamentable or shambolic, and it's meant that we've become the butt of many opposition fans jokes, I think it's ironic and a bit rich that the loudest and most obvious who are at the front of the queue wading in to poke fun are the Arsenal fans and some of their players past and present.
As my Arsenal supporting brother in law said after this result, he was not going to jump in and follow suit by taking the piss too much as it would seem hypocritical, given that barely 2-3 years ago they were also thrashed by Bayern Munich 10-2 on aggregate, so they are fine ones to talk. It's a shame so many of them seem to have ignored such irony ...

@jonnyp I don't know why you bother, mate.

Technically @Shadydan wasn't arguing at all, he actually put valid points into his second reply to @jonnyp who then in turn tried to turn it into an argument, when I don't think there was one there at all to be honest.

Consistently performing at the highest level week in and week out is much more of a scope to how good a youngster could be than a couple goals in the ropey league or against lesser opponents. If he manages to play a couple PL games when Aub or Laca are injured, then we can start to discuss how good or bad he could potentially be depending on his performances.

He could be a good player, he could be a bad player too. We haven't seen enough to make a proper judgement yet which is what Dan was alluding too.

All I said to spark the argument was that Martinelli looks a real talent. How can anyone disagree with that?

Then he started arguing with complete hypocrisy. If you cannot see that then I'm sorry.

Read my previous post and you'll get your answer, it wasn't hypocrisy the two situations are non comparable.

You started this shit remember that, twisted my words, then tried to call me a hypocrite by bringing up some old quotes which you took massively out of context, all because I dared to have a different opinion than you.

Stop being a baby.

Arsenal expect Emery To deliver champions League football this season.

Emery has been allowed to strengthen his hand this summer with Nicolas Pepe, Kieran Tierney, Dani Ceballos, David Luiz and Gabriel Martinelli arriving at The Emirates.

And speaking at a fans’ forum on Thursday night, head of football Raul Sanllehi made it clear that Emery is expected to deliver Champions League football for 2020-21.

“We said to Unai that we just missed out on qualifying for the Champions League last year,” said Sanllehi.

“But this year, with a stronger squad, we expect you to do that.”

@riggi is already kicking himself that he hadn't had the foresight to be our backup goalkeeper in 2011.
