I just look to beat them twice a year, that's it. I don't think we can worry about them finishing above us, even if that is winning the league.

I don't think he is a significant upgrade, Ospina is every bit as good as Cech imho so i think signing Cech is only a tiny upgrade

Cech is good but not Lloris/De Gea/Courtois good

Ospina is dreadful. Hes short, not good in the air, not a very good shot stopper and his kicking is dreadful.

Cech, as much as I hate to say it, will absolutely push them into title contenders.

I don't think they will win the league but their squad does increasingly look better and better when you compare it to ours.

They are bearing the fruit of the new stadium now in terms of wages and also have more funds than they've had previously.

Basically they are at a different level to us at the moment, much as I hate to admit it.

I don't think they will stop at Cech either. Linked with Carvalho, Aubameyang and Martinez in the rags.

Wrong on both counts imo.

I think people are overrating arsenal and Cech to be honest, they are still a long way from Chelsea and Man City(who both had pretty poor years)

Arsenal always tend to play well when there isn't any pressure hence the great form near the end of the season.

Cech unfortunately has added something they are missing, experience. That will be a great benefit, but their defence isn't great despite the clean sheets(good for a top 4 team not a title challenging team)

That said so far we are being left behind in regards to our rivals business.

While I agree that, individually, their defenders aren't much to be in awe of, only Chelsea and Southampton conceded less goals than them last season. And defending is more about cohesion, discipline and tactical awareness than it is about individual quality.

I believe they are going to challenge for the title next season I would be very surprised if they don't

Cech is a excellent signing and if they get another decent striker definitely top three for sure even if they don't they have so much goals in the team from midfield and the wings it's crazy, just think giroud scored 14 goals in 27 appearances last season and he only play half the season.

This is a club that named their stadium after a country that practices flogging, and punishes rape victims and homosexuals. Hating Arsenal is perfectly reasonable, and the only sane thing to do.

I've read this a few times and still not sure how to rate it.

I think it was named after the airline rather than the country, unless you hold British Gas responsible for travesties of the British Empire.

Well, the have the same name, and the airline is owned by the government. The British government aren't still colonizing and taking slaves, are they? But by all means, defend them all you want... :p

They won't win the title, bookmark it. They don't have the guts or the grit to compete with a Mourinho-run Chelsea or City.

With that said, they'll be very tough for us to overcome. We probably need Sanchez to pick up a long injury for a real good shot at topping them this season.
